On Wednesday night, we’ll get to see the third matchup of the season between the Golden State Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors were on a three-game winning streak before getting annihilated by the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday by a final score of 117-91. Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers were able to snap a four-game skid with a win over the Charlotte Hornets. Can the Warriors bounce back and pick up a win or will the Trail Blazers get their second straight victory?

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Warriors are just 1-5 against the spread in their past six matchups when playing on two days of rest. That record may fall further after this matchup. Each of these teams will be missing key players.

Meanwhile, the Over is 6-2 in the Trail Blazers last eight games at home and that is surely going to go up after this contest. Both of these teams feature high powered offences that can light it up at any given time. With two of the best point guards in the league in Damian Lillard and Steph Curry, the Over could be the way to go.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors have been carried by their leader Curry, who is averaging 29.5 points, 6.4 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game while acting as the primary ball handler. With Klay Thompson still sidelined, Curry has been the main focal point of opposing teams this year and that trend will likely continue against Portland. The team has struggled to find consistency this year outside of Curry though, with Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. struggling to find their shot at times. While each of those guys have been able to improve as the year has gone on, their offensive rating still drops from 113.3 to 107.8 when Curry leaves the floor. It is also worth noting that Draymond Green is likely to be a game-time decision for this contest after rolling his ankle in their last game. The team is 5-0 when he plays and scores in double-figures. They are 14-16 otherwise.

Portland Trail Blazers

The Trail Blazers have been devastated with injuries this year – especially starters – but that hasn’t slowed them a whole lot. They are currently sitting just outside the top four seeds in the Western Conference, which is right around where most people expected them to be. C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic have each missed a ton of time this year due to their respective injuries, but this team has been able to rally behind their leader Lillard and the emergence of Gary Trent Jr. Their offence is fantastic, with veterans like Carmelo Anthony and Robert Covington putting up solid numbers, even combining for 50 points in their win over the Hornets in their latest win. However, the Trail Blazers own the third-worst defensive rating in the league, something that will have to be cleaned up when facing off against Curry.
