Warriors vs. Jazz Prediction: NBA Odds, Point Spread
The 11-4 Utah Jazz will put their scorching seven-game win streak on the line when the Golden State Warriors head to town looking to add another W to their 8-7 record.
Utah is the favourite to win, on the NBA odds.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Golden State has dropped eight of their last 10 meetings with the Jazz, including all four meetings, last season. The Warriors have only managed to win one of the last five games they played in Utah. For the season, Golden State hasn’t been as good at covering on the road, as they have at home. The Warriors are 7-8 against the spread overall, covering five times at home, but just twice on the road.
The Jazz have been tearing through opponents and have covered the spread in all seven games of their current win streak. Utah is 10-5 ATS through the season and have hit the over six times, but only twice at home.
Golden State Warriors
A year after finishing dead last in the NBA with a 15-50 record, the Warriors are healthier and have improved, but they are still not the 2010’s dynasty they once were. The Warriors certainly dropped off when they lost Kevin Durant in free agency, but they haven’t fallen as much as last year’s record would indicate. They were decimated by injuries last year, and with Steph Curry and Draymond Green healthy again, Golden State has become a more well-rounded team.
Curry is still one of the best three-point shooters in NBA history and this year, he is averaging 28.2 points per game (team-high), 5.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists. Despite coming off a 119-104 loss to the Knicks on Thursday, Curry managed to finish with a game-high 30 points.
Utah Jazz
With two Los Angeles based powerhouses, it takes a lot to get noticed in the Western Conference, but that is exactly what the Jazz has been able to do, this season. Utah comes into this game after rolling off seven straights wins to jump to second place in the Western Conference with an 11-4 record. The Jazz have made 238 three-point shots this season, the most through the first 15 games in NBA history and their 133 successful three-pointers on their current seven-game win streak is the most ever during a seven-game win streak.
Utah is coming off a 129-118 win over the Pelicans on Thursday, a game which saw Donovan Mitchell finish with 36 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Through 15 games Mitchell is averaging 24.3 points per game (team lead), 3.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists and he is now the fastest player in NBA history to make 600 three-pointers, doing it in 240 games.
