Warriors vs. Cavaliers Point Spread: NBA Odds, Prediction
From the 2014-15 season until last year, probably the best rivalry in the NBA was the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. Of course, they played in each of the past four NBA Finals, with Golden State winning three. The only thing that stopped the Dubs from taking four in a row was an epic performance by LeBron James in 2016.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The last time these teams shared the same court was June 8, 2018, with Golden State thumping the Cavaliers 108-85 in Cleveland to complete the four-game sweep (first in Finals since 2007). That would be the last game LeBron would play in a Cavaliers uniform as he’s now down the California coast from the Warriors in Los Angeles.
While the Warriors remain largely the same and championship favourites at Sports Interaction, the Cavs are a mess sans James and are perhaps better than only the Phoenix Suns in the entire NBA. No national TV for Wednesday’s game!
Golden State has won the past three regular-season meetings and is 5-1 ATS in the past six overall.
Golden State Warriors
Golden State had been 0-2 on a five-game road trip (that first loss in Toronto) but won easily at a terrible Atlanta side on Monday 128-111. Curry, in his second game back from injury, had 30 points, Kevin Durant 28 and Klay Thompson 27. Almost no one is beating Golden State when those three guys are scoring like that. All-time the Warriors are 31-3 when Curry, Thompson and Durant all reach 20 points. Draymond Green missed another game with his toe injury and won’t be playing here. Golden State is 1-5 ATS in its past six following a win.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Cleveland snapped a four-game losing streak with a 99-97 victory in Brooklyn on Monday. Alec Burks, recently acquired from Utah in the Kyle Korver trade, had the go-ahead dunk with 3.2 seconds left. Cleveland had blown an 11-point lead with about six minutes left. Jordan Clarkson led the Cavs with 20 points and 11 rebounds. They remain without Kevin Love (foot), David Nwaba (knee) and Sam Dekker (ankle). J.R. Smith is away from the team, too, but he’s not hurt. The Cavs just don’t want him any longer and are trying to trade Smith. Cleveland is 4-1 ATS in its past five at home.
