Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Toronto Raptors Spread: NBA Odds, Prediction
One more victory and the Raptors will set a new franchise record for most consecutive wins in a season, but nothing comes easy against triple-double machine Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Toronto needed overtime to get past the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night by failed to cover the spread as 10.5-point chalk. The Raptors are 18-1 in their last 19 games and riding an 11-game win streak. They’re first in the Eastern Conference at 52-17 and own one of the best ATS records in the league at 40-29.
The Thunder are on a five-game undefeated run and own an 8-2 mark over their last 10 contests. Oklahoma City is 42-29 SU but an ugly 30-41 against the spread this season.
Sports Interaction still lists the Cleveland Cavaliers as the favorites to win the Eastern Conference at +135 but the Dinos are closing the gap at +150. Toronto ranks fourth (+900) behind Cleveland (+700), Houston (+260) and Golden State (-154) on SIA’s odds to win the NBA championship. The Thunder are close behind at +2000.
Oklahoma City Thunder
OKC lost James Harden and Kevin Durant but it doesn’t lack star power. The revamped Big 3 in Oklahoma City features Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony. George has fit in smoothly but Melo is struggling to find the best way to help his new team. George is in a bit of a mini-slump. The All-Star wing is averaging just 15.8 points on 37.3 percent shooting from the field over his last four games.
Toronto Raptors
The Reptiles don’t lose often and when they do, it’s normally by a slim margin. Toronto’s second-biggest setback came against the Thunder back in December. OKC out-rebounded the Raptors 52-34 and hung 124 on the scoreboard. Westbrook, George, Anthony and starting centre Steven Adams accounted for 99 of those 124 points.
