San Antonio Spurs NBA injury: Victor Wembanyama day-to-day (concussion) vs. Trail Blazers

Victor Wembanyama is in the NBA’s concussion protocol following a fall in Tuesday’s game against the Trail Blazers. He suffered the injury during the second quarter of Game 2 after landing face-first on the court. He must complete a multi-step return-to-play process before being cleared for action.

He did take a big step by participating in cardio work on Wednesday, but his status for Friday’s Game 3 remains questionable.

The NBA odds board has the Spurs set as a 1.5-point favourite.

This season, the NBA Defensive Player of the Year averaged 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting 51.2% from the field and 34.9% from deep across 64 regular season games.

The Spurs hold a 62-19 record and have gone 3-2 over their last five games, averaging 116.6 points with a +6.0 differential. San Antonio is 29-12 on the road this season. The Spurs are 45-34-2 against the spread with a 34-47-0 over/under mark.
