Toronto Raptors
Kyle Lowry’s shooting stroke returned but it’s his ball control that was the problem in Game 3. The Raptors turned the ball over 18 times (five belonging to Lowry) which led to 28 points for the Wizards. The Drakes had the fourth-lowest turnover rate (13.3 percent) during the regular season but the number has climbed to 16.4 in three playoff games.
Toronto’s bench was a no-show in Game 3 as well. Delon Wright, who played amazing back in Toronto, shot just 2-of-8 from the field and was a -15 in 19 minutes of action. The Raptors would love to get Fred VanVleet back in the lineup but he’s still dealing with a bad right shoulder.
Washington Wizards
The Wizards trail two games to one in the series but John Wall is playing like the best player in the series right now without a doubt. The five-time NBA All-Star is averaging 26.7 points, 12.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 1.3 blocks over the first three games of the playoffs.
His backcourt mate Bradley Beal struggled in the first two contests in Toronto but showed up in a big way in Game 3. Toronto backers don’t want to see the sweet-shooting guard heat up from long distance.
