Raptors vs. Wizards Point Spread: NBA Odds, Prediction
The Raptors are past an injury-plagued portion of their campaign and are now nearly completely healthy. Toronto enters Sunday’s game riding a four-game win streak with its most recent victory coming on Friday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Drakes own the best record in the Association at 32-12 straight up but they’re just 20-24 against the spread. The club has covered the number in four of its last six contests and seven of its last nine against the Wizards.
Washington, meanwhile, is playing some of its best basketball of the season. The Wiz are fresh off back-to-back home wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks. Oddsmakers had the Wizards as underdogs in both contests.
The team is now trying to complete the trifecta of the slaying Eastern Conference powers. Washington is 5-2 ATS as a home underdog while Toronto is 4-8-1 ATS as away chalk.
The Raps are producing some great results for fans of high-scoring games. The Over is 5-1 in their last six matchups and 26-18 on the season.
Toronto Raptors
Raps president Masai Ujiri traded for Kawhi Leonard because he thought his team needed a top 10 player in the league to push the franchise to the next level. Leonard has lived up to Ujiri’s expectations and then so, but he’s not the only player balling out.
Eight different players hit double figures for the Dinos in their game against the Nets, including five different members of the bench mob. This could be a big point in the season. A year ago, the Raps boasted the best reserve group in the league with a +3.8 point differential.
The second unit has struggled a bit this season with Pascal Siakam moving into the starting lineup in place of OG Anunoby.
Washington Wizards
No John Wall? No problem. The Wizards are proving once again they can excel without their All-Star guard on the floor. Wall is out for the rest of the season because of a heel injury and the Wizards have won five of eight games since he went down.
Bradley Beal is playing out of his mind right now. The All-Star shooting guard is averaging 29.3 points, 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds in six games this month.
