Raptors vs. Warriors Point Spread: NBA Odds, Prediction
The team with the NBA’s best record visits the defending champions and favourites to win the 2019 NBA title on Wednesday evening – one day after blowing out the Los Angeles Clippers.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Dinos are coming off a 24-point win over the Clippers in a game that saw All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry breakout from a shooting slump. Toronto is a league-best 22-7 straight up but just 14-15 against the spread.
The club beat the Warriors a few weeks back but that was in Toronto and with the Warriors missing Curry and Draymond Green. Both All-Stars are back from injury and are playing key roles in Golden State’s improved form.
The Dubs are riding a four-game win streak with impressive victories like last week when they beat the Bucks in Milwaukee as 2.5-point road underdogs. The Raptors have had some success against the Warriors in recent years. They’re 4-2-1 against the spread in their last six games against the back-to-back champions.
The Over has cashed for both teams more often than the Under. The Raps own a 17-12 Over/Under mark while G-State stands at 15-13.
Toronto is just 2-5 ATS in its last seven games overall but the club is a perfect 7-0 ATS in its last seven games playing on the second night of a back-to-back set. The Dubs are 13-2 ATS in their last 15 home games against the Raptors.
Toronto Raptors
Will Kawhi play? That’s the question NBA fans are asking for this marquee Wednesday matchup which will be broadcast by ESPN in the US. Leonard sat Tuesday night against the Clippers with a sore hip but many expect the plan was to rest Leonard before Wednesday’s game against the Warriors.
The Raptors have been cautious with Leonard’s playing time in his first year north of the border. The former NBA Finals MVP missed all but nine games of last season because of a quad injury.
The good news for Toronto backers is that Kyle Lowry appears to have busted out of his shooting slump. The four-time All Star made eight of his 13 shot attempts – including four of eight tries from 3-point land – for 21 points against the Clippers. He added seven helpers for good measure too.
Golden State Warriors
Steph Curry didn’t waste any time getting back into the swing of things on the court after his 11-game absence. The two-time league MVP is averaging 31.4 points, 5.2 assists and 5.6 rebounds in five games since he made his return.
Draymond Green is the latest Warrior starter to return to the lineup. The former Defensive Player of the Year award winner played on Monday night against the Wolves and collected seven points, seven assists and 10 rebounds in 29 minutes of action. Green missed 11 games himself because of a lingering pain in his toe.
