Toronto Raptors vs. Indiana Pacers Spread: NBA Odds, Prediction
The Pacers are pushing up the East standings and recently passed the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third seed.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Toronto survived a first-quarter, 3-point barrage from D’Angelo Russell and outscored the Brooklyn Nets 59-35 in the second half to secure the 116-102 win in Wednesday’s NBA matchup. The Dinos are now 9-0 straight up and 8-1 against the spread in their last nine contests. Toronto stands at 50-17 (39-28 ATS) on the campaign and is 16-1 (13-4 ATS) since Feb. 2nd.
Indiana was the first team to surpass its preseason wins total set by oddsmakers and hasn’t slowed down since. The Pacers are on course to win 48 games or 15 more than they were projected for back in September.
Indiana is one of the best ATS teams in the Association at 39-29 and is 23-12 on its home court. The Pacers have covered the spread in both meetings against the Raptors this season.
Toronto Raptors
The Dinos are gaining more and more attention from the US Media and were the source of Zach Lowe’s feature column this week for ESPN. Lowe detailed the evolution of the new offence Toronto employed this season and pointed out the club was dead last in percent of assisted baskets a year ago. The Raptors have climbed to middle of the pack in the league just one year later.
Just over 60 percent of their made hoops came off assists on Tuesday night with big man Jonas Valanciunas being the main beneficiary. He chewed up the Nets for 26 points and 14 rebounds.
Indiana Pacers
Oladipo is the new star player in the Hoosier state but he’s not the only reason the Pacers are outperforming expectations. Big man Myles Turner held his own against Philadelphia 76ers centre Joel Embiid earlier this week. The third-year Pacer is averaging 21.3 points and 8.3 rebounds over his last four games.
