The Raptors play the second of a back-to-back on Wednesday night at Indiana, and Toronto will be short-handed in resting at least one key player.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Quite possible the Pacers and Raptors could face off in the playoffs this spring. If not, they are done with each other after Wednesday. Toronto goes for the season sweep. It was a 99-96 winner at home on Dec. 19 behind 28 points and 10 rebounds from Kawhi Leonard. Fred VanVleet hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 25 seconds left as the Raptors rallied from down 17. They held the Pacers to just 11 fourth-quarter points (season low). Kyle Lowry was out. Victor Oladipo led the Pacers with 20 points.

On Jan. 6, also in Toronto, the Raptors were 121-105 winners. Norman Powell had his best game of the season with 23 points, and Pascal Siakam had 12 points and 10 boards. Leonard was out for Indiana’s 11th straight loss in Toronto. Lowry did play in that one. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 21 points to lead the Pacers.

Indiana has lost five straight and 14 of the last 17 regular-season games against the Raptors. Indianapolis is never an easy place to win, though. The Pacers are 17-6 there this season and Toronto was 1-1 there in 2017-18.

Toronto is 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in its past five at Indiana. The total has gone under in the past eight there.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors sat Leonard on Tuesday night but won a third in a row, 120-105 over the visiting Sacramento Kings (who were playing the second of a back-to-back). Lowry and VanVleet — who started again for Leonard — each scored 19 points, and Siakam had 18. Serge Ibaka had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and CJ Miles a season-high 15 points. OG Anunoby was out for personal reasons. Neither Leonard nor Anunoby will play Wednesday. The Raptors are 11-2 when Leonard does not play. Lowry is likely to. Toronto is 1-8 ATS in its past nine road games.

Indiana Pacers

Huge rest advantage for Indiana as it hasn’t played since winning its second straight game, 120-95 on Sunday over the visiting Charlotte Hornets. Oladipo, the All-Star guard, had 21 points and Darren Collison 19 points and nine assists. The Pacers are 16 games above .500 for the first time since the end of 2013-14. They lead the league in points allowed (103.1) and are 14-1 when holding opponents to 97 or fewer. Indiana also has allowed the fewest second-half points in the NBA. Like Toronto, the Pacers have a good bench, led by Domantas Sabonis. He’s among the NBA leaders in field-goal percentage at 61.7. Sabonis came over with Oladipo from Oklahoma City in the Paul George trade. The Pacers are 8-3 ATS in their past 11 on Wednesday.
