Toronto Raptors vs. Sacramento Kings Point Spread: NBA Odds, Prediction
Raptors nation visits with their former franchise player in Sacramento on Sunday afternoon when the Dinos take on Vince Carter and the Sacramento Kings.
Raptors vs. Kings Betting Analysis
Toronto is looking for its sixth straight victory on Sunday and will try to improve on its 16-7 straight up mark and 13-10 record against the spread. The Raps took care of business against the Grizzlies on Friday night thanks to a solid second half where they outscored Memphis by 14 points. The nine-point win was good enough to nab the club its sixth cover in its last 10 contests. The over is a perfect 4-0 in Toronto’s last four.
The Kings pecked their way past the Pelicans in a 116-109 overtime win on Friday night in New Orleans. Sacramento improved to 6-1-1 ATS in its last eight games and 11-11-3 on the season. The Kings are still in last place in the Pacific Division at 8-17 SU and the over is 14-11 in their 25 games this year.
Sacramento is 4-0 SU and ATS in its last four meetings with Toronto including both games last season. Of course those two games last year both happened before the Kings traded away All-Star centre DeMarcus Cousins. This will be the Raps’ first crack against the Boogie-less Kings.
Toronto Raptors
Serge Ibaka is finally starting to look comfortable in a Dino jersey and his numbers over the last week back it up. The stretch big man is averaging 18.3 points, 2 blocks and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 64.3 percent from 3-point land in the month of December. It’ll be good news for Raptors supporters if Ibaka can keep up the production for the rest of the season.
Sacramento Kings
Sacramento is a curious club comprised of rookies and second-year players blended with a group of players past their prime. The veteran group is led by 36-year-old big man Zach Randolph and 40-year-old Vince Carter. Randolph turned the clock back on Friday night when he lit up the Pelicans for 35 points and 13 rebounds.
The Kings lead the league in bench scoring per game, so Dwane Casey’s squad will have to be ready for second quarter surges from Sacramento.
