The Toronto Raptors head into Wednesday’s game tied with the Golden State Warriors for the best record in the NBA at 10-1. They’ve taken care of business with three straight wins on the road and finish off their trip in Sacramento before opening a three-game home stint on Saturday. Toronto has Kawhi Leonard listed as a game-time decision for tonight after he missed the last two with left ankle soreness, but word has it the club expects him to suit up.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

While the Raptors continue to pile up wins, those victories have been more difficult to come by for their point spread supporters. Toronto is 6-5 against the spread (ATS) and has covered just once in five tries when favoured by 8.5 points or more. So far, the over is a much more reliable bet in Toronto’s games as eight of the Raps’ 11 games have topped their posted totals.

The Kings had won and covered five in a row before they ran into the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. Milwaukee took them to task with a 144-109 blowout. Despite the big loss, Sacramento has been a solid ATS wager at 7-3.

Toronto Raptors

When Leonard has been in the lineup, he’s been nothing short of spectacular for the Raptors. He’s averaging 26.1 points, 7.6 assists, and 3.4 assists in seven games. That’s not to mention his impact on Toronto’s defence. With Leonard’s tenacious play protecting the bucket, the Raptors rank fourth in defensive field goal percentage (42.9) and eighth in points allowed per game (108.0). Leonard loves playing in Sacramento, too. When he was with the San Antonio Spurs, they went 17-2 against the Kings and he has scored in double figures in each of his last 11 meetings with Sacramento.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings have no problem putting points on the board, but they’re really struggling in their own end of the court. They have a balanced scoring attack paced by Buddy Hield (19.7 points per game) that includes eight different players averaging better than eight points per game. Sacramento sits fourth overall with 118.7 points per game and second overall in field goal and three-point percentage. However, the Kings also give up more than 119 points per contest and rank 27th in the Association in defensive rebounding.
