Raptors vs. Kings Prediction: NBA Odds, Point Spread
The Kings are pushing to snap the franchise’s 13-year playoff drought but their task on Sunday isn’t an easy one. A well-rested Raptors squad comes to the California capital to play a Kings side playing for the second time in as many days.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Raptors stopped their three-game losing skid, but their two most-recent wins have come against the Warriors and Suns. Not exactly tough tests – although the victory over Golden State did come with Stephen Curry back in the lineup. The Dinos are still just 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last five games.
Toronto is first in the league in fewest points allowed per game at 106.7 but the club is giving 120 points per over its last three contests. The Over is 3-0 during the same period.
The squad remains in good shape in the Eastern Conference at 44-18 (34-28 ATS). The defending champs are on pace to finish with 58 wins – which would tie their regular season record from last season. They’re holding onto second place in the Eastern Conference with a two-game lead over the Boston Celtics.
Sports Interaction lists the Raptors at +600 ($100 bet wins $600) to win the Eastern Conference and +1500 to win the NBA title a second straight year.
Sacramento comes into Sunday’s tilt on the heels of an important 123-111 win over the Trail Blazers. The Kings are battling Portland – among others – for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies hold the coveted eighth spot with the Kings, Blazers, Pelicans and Spurs all chasing.
Sac-Town is 7-2 straight up and against the spread over its last nine games. The Kings are 5-0 ATS in their last five games as underdogs and 5-0 against the number in their last five when playing on zero days’ rest.
Toronto Raptors
There’s a good chance the Raptors will have all their players available for Sunday’s game. Fred VanVleet and Marc Gasol were the last two significant contributors holding out on the injury front. VanVleet has missed the last four games with a shoulder injury while Gasol hasn’t played since the end of January because of a hamstring issue.
Sacramento Kings
De’Aaron Fox is the engine driving the Kings’ second half surge. The club is 10-4 SU in its last 14 games and Fox is averaging 21.2 points and 6.2 assists during the stretch. Shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic was the star on Saturday night as he put up 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field.
