Raptors vs. Bucks Odds, Prediction: Game 5 NBA Playoffs
The Milwaukee Bucks have played 95 games and have never lost more than two games in a row this season. The Toronto Raptors are trying to become the first team to hand Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks a third straight setback.
The series is knotted up at two games a piece, but the Bucks are still sizeable favourites to advance to the NBA Finals.
NBA Playoffs Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Raptors are coming off of arguably their finest performance in these playoffs. They outscored the Bucks in every quarter in Game 4 and easily covered the spread as 2.5-point home underdogs.
Toronto is a 7-point underdog in Game 5. The club went 9-5 against the spread when catching points during the regular season. The Dinos have been underdogs of seven points or larger only twice this campaign: at Golden State and at Philadelphia.
They beat the Warriors by 20 points back in December at Oracle and they lost to the Sixers by 25 points 10 days later at Philly.
Despite the two-game losing streak, the Bucks are still 21-5 (against the spread) ATS in their last 26 games coming off a loss. The over is 3-0 in the last three games in the series and 14-6 in the Bucks’ last 20 games overall.
Sports Interaction lists the Bucks as -270 favourites to win the series with the Raptors paying out at +185 to advance. The Warriors, who await the winner of this series in the next round, are the favourites to win the 2019 NBA championship at -250; the Bucks are next at +295 and the Raptors are last at +650.
Toronto backers are coming out in droves on the Game 5 betting trends. About 93 percent of the spread action is on the Raptors to cover as 7-point underdogs while 54 percent expect the game to go over the 217-point total.
Toronto Raptors
Kawhi Leonard did not look 100 percent healthy in Game 4. That has to be a concern as the series progresses. It’s unlikely Toronto will get another 48-point performance from its bench the rest of this series.
It’s ironic that Leonard sat out almost the entirety of the 2017-18 campaign with an injury and now appears to be playing through one for his new team. The former NBA Finals MVP sat out 22 games during the regular season due to load management.
Milwaukee Bucks
Eric Bledsoe continues to kill Milwaukee in this series. The Bucks starting point guard is shooting just over 25 percent from the field – and 9.2 percent from 3-point territory – in the series. The Bucks’ offensive rating is 98.8 (per 100 possessions) with Bledsoe on the floor and 109.4 with him on the bench in these last four games.
