There’s no sugarcoating it, it’s been a terrible season for the Raptors. Toronto sits dead last in the NBA standings with a 2-12 record following a 126-123 overtime loss in Boston on Saturday. It’s been a much better year for the 6-7 Pacers, who are coming off a 119-110 home win over Miami on Sunday.

Indiana is a 3.5-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with the total set at 233.5.

Pacers vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

These teams split the series last year, with the road team winning each of the four games. The first three games were close and competitive, while the fourth was a Pacers blowout win in April when the Raptors essentially gave up on the year and shutdown their big players. The Over hit in all four contests.

Expectations are rock bottom for Toronto, which may explain why they’re a solid 9-5 against the spread. Indiana is 7-6 ATS, although they’ve failed to cover in three of their last four road games.

You can likely bank on a high scoring contest on Monday. Both teams have hit the Over in a majority of their games this season, while the Raptors have finished above the number in 10 of their last 11 at home and the Pacers have hit the Over in nine of their last 11 overall.

Indiana Pacers

Myles Turner, Pascal Siakam and Bennedict Mathurin led the way for Indiana on Sunday. Turner finished with a season-high 34 points, Siakam had 23 and Mathurin added 21 points and 12 rebounds. The Pacers shot just under 52 per cent from the field and 30 of their 44 buckets were assisted. Tyrese Haliburton and T.J. McConnell combined for 18 assists. Siakam is averaging a team-high 20.2 points per game and McConnell leads the team in dimes (8.8).

Aaron Nesmith has missed the last four games with an ankle injury that will likely sideline him until December. Indiana has done a great job handling their injury issues this season, with players like Mathurin stepping up in an increased role. The third-year Mathurin, starting at small forward in place of Nesmith, has hit the 20-point mark in four of his last six games while averaging a career-high 18.9 ppg.

Toronto Raptors

If you feel like the Raptors just can’t catch a break this season then you were not surprised when they lost Saturday’s game on a buzzer-beater three in overtime. The result definitely put a stain on Jakob Poeltl‘s career-high 35 points. Poeltl finished 16 of 19 from the field and also added 12 rebounds. RJ Barret had a triple-double, finishing with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists.

Injuries continue to plague Toronto and with a lottery pick in the draft on the horizon, you can be sure the team won’t be rushing to reinsert players into the lineup early. Scottie Barnes (orbital fracture), Immanuel Quickley (elbow), Kelly Olynyk (back), Bruce Brown (knee) and Ja’Kobe Walter (shoulder) have all participated in drills at practice, but none have been cleared to return.
