Brooklyn Nets vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction, NBA Odds

Because this is a road game for the Nets, they’ll have Kyrie Irving in the lineup on Tuesday night and Brooklyn will need him as they’re set to face the NBA’s best team, the Phoenix Suns.  Phoenix leads the NBA with a 40-9 record and they’re riding a 10-game winning streak after a 115-110 home win against the Spurs on Sunday.  Brooklyn, on the other hand, has fallen to sixth place in the Eastern Conference thanks to a four-game losing streak that last saw them drop a 110-106 decision at Golden State on Saturday.

The Suns are 6-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 228.5.

Nets vs. Suns NBA Betting Odds

This concludes the season series between these teams after Phoenix came away with a 113-107 win in Brooklyn on Nov. 27.  Devin Booker led the Suns with 30 points, while Kevin Durant finished with a game-high 39 points in a losing effort.

Brooklyn is riding a four-game losing streak, but they do have a solid 17-7 road record this season.  They’re 19-29-1 against the spread overall and have failed to cover in 12 of their last 17 games.  The Nets have been a bit all over the place in terms of the total lately, with the Over/Under alternating evenly over their last six games.

Phoenix’s 10-game winning streak includes victories in each of their last four home dates.  They’re 27-22 ATS for the season, but they’ve failed to cover in five of their last six home games against Brooklyn.  The total has gone Under in five of the Suns’ last seven games.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets’ five-game Western Conference road swing got off to a rough start with a loss against the Warriors on Saturday.  Irving, who is not eligible to play home games because of his unvaccinated status, was left to carry the load alone because of injuries to Durant and James Harden.  Irving finished with a game-high 32 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.  Patty Mills added 24 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Durant, who averages a league-high 29.3 points per game, will miss an eighth straight contest on Tuesday because of a knee injury and there is no timeline for his return.  Harden was a late scratch on Saturday because of a hand strain and is listed as questionable on Tuesday.  The former Houston Rocket averages 23.0 ppg and is second in the NBA with 10.1 assists per night.  LaMarcus Aldridge is out against Phoenix after leaving Saturday’s game early with an ankle injury.  Joe Harris remains out indefinitely after reportedly suffering a setback following ankle surgery in November.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix overcame a 12-point fourth quarter deficit to hit 10 consecutive wins on Sunday.  Booker finished with a game-high 28 points, while Mikal Bridges added a season-high 26 points and eight rebounds.  Chris Paul came up huge, scoring 20 points to go along with eight rebounds and a mammoth 19 assists.  Booker leads the team with 25.1 ppg, while Paul averages a league-high 10.3 assists per game.  JaVale McGee scored five points and seven rebounds after missing the previous two games with a knee injury.

Deandre Ayton, who is second on the Suns with 16.8 ppg, will miss his eighth straight game on Tuesday due to an ankle injury.  There is no timeline for Ayton’s return.  Jae Crowder and Cameron Payne will each miss their fourth straight game with wrist injuries.
