Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors Prediction, NBA Odds

The NBA’s 2025-26 regular season comes to an end Sunday with all 30 teams in action in a rarity.  Toronto is -23.5 (yep) on the NBA odds with a total of 219.5.

Nets vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

The Brooklyn Nets had two jobs this season: Finish with one of the three-worst records in the league to get as many ping-pong balls as possible for the 2026 NBA Draft lottery, and help grow a ton of rookies on this year’s squad. Pretty much mission accomplished on both fronts. If the Nets do get top-three pick in a loaded draft via the lottery, they might not be too bad next season also flush with salary-cap space in the off-season.

Toronto’s season will not end Sunday, it’s just a matter of what is next for the Raptors. The Play-In Tournament tips off Tuesday and the full-field playoffs Saturday. The Dinos can finish anywhere from fifth to eighth in the East depending on other results today. A win here, and I think that’s a pretty safe assumption, and Toronto will avoid the Play-In. It would rise to fifth if Atlanta and Orlando both lose, but that’s not likely.

The Raptors won the first two meetings vs. the Nets this season by the exact same score of 119-109, while Brooklyn won the most recent meeting, 96-81 at home on Dec. 21. Both clubs are a lot different now. For example, former Toronto first-round pick (2022) in guard Ochai Agbaji is now with the Nets, traded as part of a three-team deal in early February. The Raptors got Chris Paul from the Clippers in that transaction, but he never played for the team and in reality it was just a salary dump on Agbaji as he had mostly fallen out of the rotation in Toronto.

In the past 10 meetings, the Raptors are 6-4 SU and ATS, while the over-under is 2-8.

Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn has the third-worst record in the NBA and can’t get to the fourth-worst even with a win so maybe the Nets try a little as there’s really no downside. But they clearly don’t want to try with several guys ruled out led by starting centre Nic Claxton (11.7 PPG, 6.9 RPG). So the starting five today is probably looking something like Ben Saraf, Malachi Smith, Drake Powell, Jalen Wilson  and EJ Liddell. Not sure that group would have beaten NCAA Tournament champion Michigan. Liddell has scored at least 10 points in a career-long four straight games after doing so once in his career before this streak began. Saraf has scored 15 points in each of his last three games, which is the longest streak in his career. The Nets haven’t won their regular-season finale since 2021-22 (lost three straight).

Toronto Raptors

Bit of a balance for the Dinos today we’d think. Get out to a big lead and then get the starters out to avoid possible injury entering the post-season. To that note, RJ Barrett is questionable today. He missed Friday’s blowout loss at the Knicks with knee troubles. Wouldn’t make a ton of sense to play Barrett in this one against such an inferior opponent. Barrett was clearly missed against his former Knicks club as the Raptors managed only 36 first-half points, their lowest total in any half this season. Toronto is converting two-way guard AJ Lawson to a standard contract for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs.  The Toronto native was named to the All-NBA G League Second Team and helped the 905 reach the 2025 G League Winter Showcase Final and secure a playoff berth.
