The Bulls are coming off a 121-103 win over visiting Indiana and have now won three in a row, lifting them 4.5 games up on the 11th-place Toronto Raptors. The Nets wrap up a brief two-game road trip in the Windy City after dropping a 109-104 decision in Cleveland on Tuesday night that marked their eighth defeat in nine contests and fifth straight loss on the road.

The Bulls lead the way as 2.5-point favourites on the Thursday NBA odds. The Nets trail as +115 underdogs on the NBA moneyline and the total sits at 230.5.

Nets vs. Bulls NBA Betting Odds

Thursday night’s date at United Center is the third and final meeting of the season between these Eastern Conference rivals. These clubs split their first two clashes of the campaign, with the home team emerging victorious in each, capped by the Bulls’ 128-102 victory on December 2. With that win, the Bulls halted a four-game slide in head-to-head action that featured a pair of outright defeat as betting chalk. The Bulls are now riding their longest win streak of the season, but have struggled to produce consistent results at home, where they have lost 11 of 15 and tallied just 12 victories this season, the lowest of any team currently in the NBA playoff picture.

Now trailing Chicago by five games with just 18 games remaining on the schedule, the Nets should be desperate to preserve their fading playoff hopes. But while the club has rewarded loyal NBA bettors by going 3-1 against the spread in their past four, they have work to do to halt a five-game road losing streak during which they have scored an average of just 102.4 points and now rank second last in the NBA with just 105.2 points per game.

Brooklyn Nets

Cam Thomas returned to action on Tuesday after missing Monday’s upset victory over the Los Angeles Lakers and the Nets leading scorer didn’t miss a beat, leading the club with 27 points. The return of Thomas is huge news for the club. The 23-year-old has been limited to just seven appearances since late November due to injury and has averaged 22.5 points in four outings so far this month.

D’Angelo Russell is also expected to be available on Thursday after missing Tuesday’s loss to the Cavs due to an ankle injury. Russell has struggled at times, dropping single-digit point totals in three of five games, but in addition to a standout 28-point performance last weekend in Charlotte, Russell has also been a steady playmaker, recording seven assists in each of his past two outings and averaging five helpers per game over the last seven contests.

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls have rediscovered their scoring touch during their three-game win streak, averaging 120 points per game and have held opponents to fewer than 110 points in two straight outings for the first time since December. Despite that recent stinginess, the Bulls defence remains stalled in 29th overall in the NBA with 120.3 points per game allowed. Josh Giddey led the charge in Monday’s win, picking up a season-high 29 points. Giddey has scored at least 21 points in six of nine outings but will miss Thursday’s contest with an ankle sprain.

Coby White is also playing some of his best ball of the season, averaging 29.8 points over his past six outings. Lonzo Ball is reportedly close to returning from a wrist injury that has forced him to miss six games, but remains listed as doubtful for Thursday.
