Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction, NBA Odds
Of these two clubs, L.A. was the more active in the dying days of the trade deadline. It remains to be seen whether their new signings will suit up Saturday night. As of Friday morning, several are listed as Day-to-Day.

Lakers vs. Warriors NBA Betting Odds
Despite that both franchises have largely headed in different directions in recent years, Golden State only holds a 5-4 lead over the past nine tête-à-têtes. One of those wins for the purple and gold was in May 2021 for a play-in contest, remembered most famously, and ironically, for LeBron James hitting a key three-point shot late in the game over none other than Stephen Curry. All that said, the Warriors have won three of the last four, including the first of four meetings for the current season back on opening night.
Spreads have not been friendly toward the Lakers as of late. The club has only been successful at covering four times out of 10 and hasn’t at all in the last three opportunities. L.A.’s 12-19 road record isn’t encouraging, to say anything of their opponents’ 21-6 terrific home tally. Not even the Over vs Under has any obvious trend at the moment, as both results have evenly split the past 10 games. The only real trend to speak of is the squad’s three-game losing streak.
As for Steve Kerr’s men, now is the time to make a run for playoff positioning. They are the defending champions and have most of the players on their roster who helped win a ring last season but have been maddeningly inconsistent this season. Terrific at home, atrocious away, and the defence has lapsed into mediocrity. At the very least, the club rides a four-game home winning streak.
Los Angeles Lakers
Under the circumstances, it would be unjust to criticize the Lakers too harshly for Thursday night’s home performance against the mighty Milwaukee Bucks. King James was resting his foot, several players had just found out they weren’t Lakers anymore, new Lakers weren’t ready to suit up, and Milwaukee was on a roll.
Be that as it may, it should be noted that the reserves put up an excellent fight for about two-and-a-half quarters. Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker IV, Austin Reeves, and big man Anthony Davis gave the visitors more than enough problems, forcing them to dig deep late in the third period to turn the tide. It was a little shocking to see L.A. actually lead at that stage. However, Khris Middleton is starting to look like his former self, as evidenced by several slick buckets (22 points). Giannis Antetokounmpo was his typical self (38 points). He and Brook Lopez combined for 20 rebounds. Bucks win a tough one 115-106.
Golden State Warriors
It cannot be stated enough. What the Warriors do to other teams at home happens to them when playing on the road. Wednesday night’s contest in Portland against a Trail Blazers side losing its way in the standings was there for the taking.
Up 114-110 with under six minutes to play, Golden State began shooting bricks and committing turnovers. Layups, jumpers, three-point shots, nothing was working. Even Klay Thompson missed opportunities, the same Klay who drains threes to hype up the home crowd in the fourth quarter. It’s the strangest thing to behold, especially since traditionally the Warriors are not at all a bad road team! Before they knew it, it was Dame Time. Damian Lillard hit critical shots, including heart-breaking threes, with Portland eventually claiming a 125-122 victory.
