Knicks vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

A reminder that the NBA’s trade deadline is Thursday, and we’ve already seen two blockbusters: the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic to the Lakers for Anthony Davis in a true stunner, and the Kings’ De’Aaron Fox to the Spurs in a three-way deal that got Sacramento former Bulls All-Star Zach LaVine.

Even with Toronto playing much better lately, it would be a seller if anything happens ahead of the deadline with many teams eyeing backup big man Chris Boucher. The Knicks reportedly covet him. The Dinos also could ship out veteran guard Bruce Brown. New York did its major work last offseason when it acquired All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns from Minnesota. And of course the Knicks got OG Anunoby from the Raptors last season, but he may not play Tuesday due to injury.

This concludes the season series with New York trying for the four-game sweep. KAT is averaging 27.3 points and 12.7 rebounds in the series, Anunoby 24.0 points, and All-Star Jalen Brunson 15.0 points and 8.3 assists. Toronto’s RJ Barrett is averaging 23.0 points against his former team this season.

Toronto leads the all-time series, 61-52, but has lost seven straight overall and three in a row at home. The Knicks are 7-3 ATS in the past 10 and the over-under is 7-3.

New York Knicks

On Monday, New York played without former Raptor OG Anunoby, who is not expected back tonight with a foot sprain, and rallied to beat visiting Houston, 124-118, to win for the sixth time in seven games. Jalen Brunson has been playing like an MVP in that stretch and continued it with 42 points and 10 assists, while Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges both had 22 points. Josh Hart was questionable but played his usual 40 minutes and had 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Another former Raptor, Precious Achiuwa, started for Anunoby and had seven points and nine rebounds. Because New York played last night, we won’t get an updated injury report until this afternoon. But it’s very possible the Knicks rest Hart or KAT or Brunson after each played heavy minutes last night – although Coach Tom Thibodeau notoriously hates resting his starters. Does feel like a major trap game even with the Knicks 10-2 SU in their past 12 away.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto won for the eighth time in the past 10 games on Sunday, upsetting the visiting Clippers, 115-108. Seven Raptors scored in double figures led by 20 points from RJ Barrett and a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double from Jakob Poeltl – his team-best 19th double-double of the year. Chris Boucher had nine points and four rebounds off the bench and Bruce Brown six points and three boards in a reserve role. They are both questionable for Tuesday; not out of the question both will be held out ahead of a possible trade(s). Off the injury report are reserve guards Jamal Shead and Davion Mitchell after both missed Sunday. Toronto shot 51.8 per cent against the Clippers to improve to 9-5 this season when making at least half it shots. It was only the third time this season the team shot better than 50 per cent from deep and improved to 3-0 in those – all at Scotiabank Arena. The Raptors are 5-1 ATS in their past six at home.
