The Raptors are just 13 wins shy of setting a new franchise record for most wins in a regular season. They try to bring the magic number down to 12 and complete the season sweep against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday afternoon.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Charlotte’s playoff chances took a major blow when the club lost 110-99 at Philadelphia on Friday. The Hornets led the 76ers by 14 points with just 15 minutes left in the game but couldn’t hold off Joel Embiid and Company. Charlotte drops to 10th in the Eastern Conference and is 4.5 games out of the eighth and final playoff spot. The Hornets are 28-35 straight up and 26-33-4 against the spread on the season. Road games are a big problem for Charlotte; the Hornets are 10-20 SU and 9-17-4 ATS away from home.

Toronto improved to 44-17 SU and 35-26 ATS on the season after Friday’s win and cover against the Washington Wizards. The Raptors are 10-1 SU and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games. The Dinos are 3-0 SU and ATS in three games against Charlotte this season. They’ve scored at least 123 points in each contest and the over is 3-0 in those three matchups.

Charlotte Hornets

Charlotte’s danger man is two-time All-Star Kemba Walker. The Hornets point guard is averaging 23.2 points and 5.7 assists per game but isn’t getting much help from his supporting cast. Dwight Howard is the club’s second leading scorer this season but he can’t be counted on a regular basis to get buckets. He scored just six points in Friday’s setback against the Sixers and he’s been held to seven fewer points in three of his last 10 games.

Toronto Raptors

Norman Powell received a cameo appearance in the starting lineup on Friday night against the Wizards. The opening night starting small forward lost his spot but got another crack with the starters because of an injury to OG Anunoby. He was held scoreless in a little over 16 minutes of action against Washington but could see more playing time if Anunoby’s ankle injury keeps him out longer.
