Thursday night was a big moment in the maturation of Pascal Siakam’s pro career. The former member of Toronto’s bench mob scored the game-winner with a lefty lay-in as time expired in fourth quarter.

Toronto fans welcome another weak member of the NBA’s Western Conference to the Scotiabank Arena on Saturday night hoping to see the Raptors pick up their league-high 35th win of the season. Memphis arrives in Canada one night after getting worked by Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Grizzlies are one of the coldest teams in the Association these days. The club, once affectionately called Grind City, is just 3-15 straight up in its last 18 games. Only the Phoenix Suns own a worst record in the West than Memphis does at 19-26 SU.

Things have gone just as poorly for Memphis bettors. The team is tied with the Washington Wizards for fewest ATS wins in NBA. The Grizzlies are just 19-26 against the spread in their 45 games this season.

They’ve been a solid option for Over/Under bettors following the trends. The Under is 27-18 on the campaign and 5-2 in their last seven games overall. Memphis hasn’t had much success in recent years against the Drakes. Toronto is 7-2-1 ATS in its last 10 battles with its former Canadian cousin franchise.

The Raptors are coming off a narrow victory over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night. Toronto won 111-109 but failed to cover as a 9-point home favourite. The Dinos are 8-2 SU in their last 10 games but just 5-12 ATS in their last 17 contests.

Sports Interaction bettors are split an even 50/50 on who’ll cover the spread in this contest. SIA has the Raps giving 12.5 points to the Grizzlies on Saturday night. There’s more of a consensus with bettors with regards to the total. About 94 percent of customers expect the game to go Over the 210.5-point total.

Memphis Grizzlies

They’ve put it off long enough. The Grizzlies need to start thinking about moving on from Mike Conley Jr. and Marc Gasol. The success partnership of the point guard and big man brought the most successful years of the franchise history with playoff series wins in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

Gasol is the veteran with the most grey showing in his game. The former defensive player of the year is shooting just 38.2 percent from field this month and he’s coming off a 1-for-10 shooting performance on Friday night against the Celtics.

The club does have at least one cornerstone youngster to move forward with in the years to come. Rookie big man Jaren Jackson Jr. is averaging 13.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game this season.

Toronto Raptors

It was a big decision to give the ball to Pascal Siakam in an isolation situation, essentially letting the player take the Kawhi Leonard role with the former San Antonio player sitting the game out. Siakam’s making a solid case for a spot on an All-Star roster this season.

Toronto bettors should expect to see Leonard back on the floor on Saturday. He missed Thursday’s contest for rest purposes only.
