Betting on the Raptors has been a costly wager over the last two weeks. Toronto sets out to snap its longest ATS losing streak since 2015 when the reeling Clippers arrive at the ACC for Sunday’s NBA matchup.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Raptors’ won narrowly against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday and dropped to 0-5 against the spread in their last five games. They’ve covered the spread in 40 of their 73 games so far this season.
Defense seems to be the problem for Toronto during the cold spell. During the last five games, the club has allowed 112 or more points in four times and the over went 4-1. The over is 37-35-1 on the season for the Raptors. The Dinos are 54-19 straight up and three wins away from setting a new franchise-high for wins in a season. They’re first in the Eastern Conference and 4.5 games up on the Boston Celtics.
The Clippers aren’t playing their best basketball of the season right now either. They dropped to 1-5 SU following a five-point loss at Indiana on Friday. The playoffs are a pipedream for LA at this point. The club stands at 38-34 which puts them 2.5 games back of the eighth spot with 10 games left in the season.

Doc Rivers’ team lost its contender status when Blake Griffin was shipped off to Detroit at the end of January. Lob City is dead but there are still some entertaining and productive players on the new-look Clippers. Raptors fans remember the years when Lou Williams was a crunch-time closer in Toronto. He’s enjoying a career season for the Clippers and is a shoe-in to win the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award. Williams is averaging 22.9 points and 5.4 assists per game on the year.

Kyle Lowry is in a nice little groove right now for the Raptors. He registered his 12th career triple-double thanks to a 25-12-10 line against the Nets on Friday and he’s averaging 24 points and 9.3 assists while hitting 63.8 percent from 3-point range over his last four games.
