The Raptors snapped an 11-game losing streak on New Year’s Day against Brooklyn, but quickly reverted back to their struggling form with a 106-97 home loss against Orlando on Friday. The Bucks, on the other hand, have struggled since winning the NBA Cup. Milwaukee has dropped four of their last five games, capped by a 105-102 home loss against Portland on Saturday.

The Bucks are 7.5-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with the total pegged at 230.5.

Bucks vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

Milwaukee struck first in the season series, downing the Dinos 99-85 at Fiserv Forum on November 12. Gradey Dick scored a career-high (and game-high) 32 points in a losing effort for Toronto. The teams close out the season series in Milwaukee on January 17.

Toronto had a respectable home record the first six weeks or so of the season, but a 1-8 stretch in their last nine games at Scotiabank Arena has dropped them to 7-12 at home this season. However, it still beats the Raptors’ league-worst 1-15 road record.

The Bucks haven’t been great at 7-9 on the road this season, but they’ve managed to win two of their last three away dates.

Toronto has been the better cover option at 21-14 against the spread, including a sterling 13-6 ATS at home. On the other hand, Milwaukee is 14-19-1 ATS, covering in half of their 16 road dates.

The Raptors have split the Over/Under evenly this season, while the Bucks have played the Under in a majority of their games. Low scoring games have been a trend between these teams, with the total going Under in 13 of the last 18 head-to-heads.

Milwaukee Bucks

It’s been a wild ride for Milwaukee this season. The Bucks opened the season with losses in six of their first seven games before righting the ship and winning the NBA Cup last month. Now they’re dealing with a vicious illness in the locker room that has hit seven players, including Damian Lillard, who is averaging 24.7 points per game, second on the team behind Giannis Antetokoumpo’s NBA-best 32.3 ppg.

When Milwaukee is playing their best, it’s from long range. The Bucks are hitting 38.3 per cent of three-point attempts (second-best in NBA) and averaging 14.3 three-point field goals made per game (eighth). Lillard, AJ Green and former Raptor Gary Trent Jr. are each averaging over two three’s per game, with Lillard averaging a team-best 3.4 per game. And if you’re wondering, Lillard is expected to play on Monday.

Toronto Raptors

Friday’s loss against Orlando sums up Toronto’s season perfectly as the Raptors couldn’t break 100 points against a Magic team missing three of their top four scorers. Toronto allowed Orlando to hit 19 of 44 attempts from beyond the arc (43 per cent), which you can be sure Milwaukee has circled as the game plan on Monday.

Toronto’s leading scorer, RJ Barrett (23.4 ppg), has missed the last three games with an illness, but he is expected to play against the Bucks. Almost unbelievably, that means the Raptors will have their full starting lineup available for the first time since March 1. Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl and Gradey Dick have played just four minutes together, so Monday’s game should provide management a great idea of what works and what upgrades need to be made to the roster (hint: a lot of upgrades are needed).
