Milwaukee Bucks vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction, NBA Odds

Philadelphia has not only survived, they’ve thrived despite the absences of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons and they now sit atop the Eastern Conference standings.  The 76ers had a minor stumble in a 103-96 loss against the Knicks on Monday, but they’ve otherwise looked great this year.  The same can’t be said of this Milwaukee team that sits out of a playoff spot with a sub-.500 record.  Can the Bucks get back on track in Philly?

Milwaukee opened as a 6-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 225.

Bucks vs. 76ers NBA Betting Odds

This has been a fairly one-sided series in recent years.  The Bucks swept the season series last year and have won five straight games between these teams.  Four of the last five meetings have finished Under the total.

If there’s one hope for Milwaukee in this game, it’s that they’ve been better on the road than at home.  The Bucks are 1-3 in Milwaukee, compared to 3-2 on the road.  They’re 4-6 against the spread this season and they’ve failed to cover in five of their last six games.  The total has gone Under in the Bucks’ last seven games.

Philadelphia keeps finding ways to win and they come into Tuesday’s contest with six dubs in their last seven games.  They’re 7-4 ATS overall and have covered in five of their last six games.  Low scoring games have been a trend, as the total has gone Under in five of the Sixers’ last six games overall.  Philly has only hit the Over in one of six home games this year.

Milwaukee Bucks

The defending champs have stumbled out of the gate and have dropped four of their last five games, including a 101-94 loss in Washington on Sunday.  Milwaukee trailed 12-0 to start the Wizards game, with their offence struggling to gain any momentum.  The Bucks shot 39.4 per cent from the field and went 10-of-36 from beyond the arc.  Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with 29 points, 18 rebounds and five assists.  Antetokounmpo is averaging team-highs in points per game (27.3), rebounds (11.1) and assists (6.0).  As a team, Milwaukee’s offence averages 106.7 points per game, 19th in the NBA, while the defence gives up 108.6 points.  Brook Lopez (back) and Khris Middleton (COVID protocols) are expected to miss Tuesday’s game.  Donte DiVincenzo (foot) is still without a timetable for his return.

Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers have been rolling despite missing two of their best players in Embiid and Simmons.  Embiid is expected to miss multiple games after testing positive for COVID, while Simmons is still at a standoff with the team following his trade demand in the off-season.  Neither player was in the lineup for Monday’s loss against the Knicks.  Furkan Korkmaz led the team against New York, finishing with 19 points, three rebounds and two assists.  Korkmaz is averaging 13.1 ppg for the year.  The scoring offence has come up big this season, averaging 111.3 ppg, good for sixth in the NBA.  Defensively, the Sixers allow 102.6 points a contest.  In addition to Embiid, Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle and Isaiah Joe are all going through COVID protocols, while Danny Green is questionable with a knee injury.  Embiid (21.4 ppg) and Harris (19.8 ppg) are Philly’s two leading scorers.
