Toronto Blue Jays vs. Los Angeles Dodgers: World Series Game 4 Odds, Prediction

After an epic 18-inning marathon, the Toronto Blue Jays will look to even the World Series at two games apiece when they face the L.A. Dodgers on Tuesday night.

It’s a quick turnaround after Game 3 lasted just over 6.5 hours and matched the longest game in World Series history in terms of innings.

L.A. now has a chance to win the World Series at home for this first time since 1963 if they take the next two games, while the Blue Jays just need to win one more time to guarantee the series returns to Toronto.

The Dodgers are -225 favourites to win on the MLB odds, with the total set at 8.0.

Betting Analysis

The Blue Jays were always going to be heavy underdogs against the defending champions, so it’s no surprise to see Toronto listed listed at +375 to win the World Series on the MLB futures board, while L.A. is a -500 favourite.

Oddsmakers essentially have no faith in the Jays as the series is favoured to end in five games at +160.

High scoring continues to be a trend between these clubs, with the Over hitting in five of six meetings in 2025.

Playing three straight games in L.A. doesn’t help the Blue Jays. Toronto is is just 3-7 straight up in their last 10 road games against the Dodgers, while L.A. has won six of their last seven at home.

With six hits and three home runs in the series, Shohei Ohtani is a heavy -400 favourite to win World Series MVP ahead of his series debut on the mound in Game 4.

Toronto Blue Jays

There are a couple of key injuries to watch out for ahead of Game 4. George Springer left Game 3 in the seventh inning with what was described as “right side discomfort”. Bo Bichette continues to deal with a knee injury and also left Monday’s contest in the seventh inning. The status for both players in Game 4 is unknown.

It will be Shane Bieber on the mound on Tuesday. He’s making his first World Series start and fourth of the postseason. Across 12.1 playoff innings, Bieber has a 1-0 record and 4.38 ERA with 15 strikeouts and three walks. His best outing came in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Mariners, when he recovered after a two-run first inning to pitch six strong in a crucial Blue Jays victory.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Freddie Freeman finally ended Game 3 in the 18th inning on Monday, launching a solo home run 406 feet to centre field. The six hour and 39 minute game is the second longest in World Series history. Shohei Ohtani became the first player in the majors in 83 years to reach base nine times in a game when he was walked five consecutive times, four intentionally.

The Blue Jays won’t have a choice when it comes to facing Ohtani in Game 4 as he’ll display his two-way prowess when he takes the mound. Ohtani’s last pitching performance was historic. He threw six scoreless innings and also hit three home runs as the Dodgers swept the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS.
