How to bet on the 2026 PGA Championship

PGA Championship week is here. Following an entertaining Masters last month, the second golf major of the year will get underway on Thursday at Aronimink Golf Club outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Back-to-back Masters champion Rory McIlroy will be looking for his second consecutive major triumph, while defending champ Scottie Scheffler is going off as the favourite. They are joined in a stacked field by Cameron Young, Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau and many more.

Let’s take a look at some of the available markets, the odds and things to consider in order to make the best possible bets on the PGA Championship.

2026 PGA Championship odds

There are a whole host of betting options for the PGA Championship – just as there are at the other three golf majors, as well. Obviously the outright winner market is extremely popular, but you can also back golfers to finish in the top five, top 10, top 20, or simply to make the cut. You can also bet on players to be the top finisher from a certain country, plus head-to-head markets are available for the tournament as a whole and in individual rounds.

Here is a snippet of the odds :

To win:

  • Scottie Scheffler +500
  • Rory McIlroy +900
  • Cameron Young +1400
  • Jon Rahm +1500
  • Xander Schauffele +2100

To finish in the top five:

  • Scottie Scheffler +110
  • Rory McIlroy +200
  • Cameron Young +270
  • Jon Rahm +340
  • Xander Schauffele +380

To finish in the top 10:

  • Scottie Scheffler –190
  • Rory McIlroy +100
  • Cameron Young +140
  • Jon Rahm +170
  • Xander Schauffele +190

To be top finisher from North America:

  • Scottie Scheffler +270
  • Cameron Young +650
  • Xander Schauffele +1000
  • Bryson DeChambeau +1300
  • Collin Morikawa +1600

PGA Championship betting notes

Much unlike the Masters, history is not overly important in the case of the PGA Championship. After all, the Masters is played at the same course – Augusta National – over and over again. Based on past performances, it is quite easy to project who is going to play well in Augusta. The PGA Championship (and the U.S. Open and British Open), of course, rotates venues. This particular site, Aronimink, has not hosted the PGA since 1962. Obviously no one who was in the field then is participating now, and most aren’t even alive.

The last PGA Tour tournament played at Aronimink was the 2018 BMW Championship, a FedEx Cup playoff event. Keegan Bradley won it, beating Justin Rose in a one-hole playoff. Just one stroke behind were Schauffele and Billy Horschel. McIlroy placed fifth, only two strokes out of the lead. Tommy Fleetwood, Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau (and Tiger Woods, for what it’s worth) were among those in the top 10.

Aronimink is a par-70 layout that will play approximately 7,394 yards this week. It is hilly, too, so the golfers will feel every bit of that length. Distance is important, but precision is perhaps even more paramount. There are more than 180 bunkers on the course that line the fairways and greens, so wayward shots – if accompanied by some bad luck – can be penalized to a significant extent.

PGA Championship betting picks

Who are the best iron players on tour right now? Young, Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Ludvid Aberg are on the short list. Justin Rose was on it until he switched to McLaren clubs, which he has used for only the last two weeks and has not yet found his groove. Morikawa is a question mark due to a back injury, so it’s hard to trust him right now.

Young (+1400), Schauffele (+2100) and Aberg (+2400) are all excellent choices. Scheffler and McIlroy may be the best all-around golfers and are favored for a reason – but if you are looking for longer shots with value, Young, Schauffele and Aberg are worth a look.
