The Blue Bombers have been the model of consistency in the CFL over the last few years as they’ve played in the last four Grey Cups, although they lost the last two in upsets. The Roughriders haven’t won or played in the Grey Cup since 2013 and their last trip to the West Final was in 2021, when they lost 21-17 against Winnipeg.

The Bombers are 4.5-point favourites to win on the CFL odds, with the total set at 47.5.

CFL Odds and Betting

It’s been all Winnipeg in recent head-to-head action, with the Bombers winning eight of the last 10 matchups. Winnipeg won two of three regular season meetings in 2024, with a pair of September victories in games decided by just two and five points.

Saskatchewan finished a CFL-best 11-7 against the spread in the regular season and followed that up with a 12th cover in last week’s 28-19 West Division semifinal win over the BC Lions. It’s a different story for the Blue Bombers, who went 8-10 ATS in the regular season, tied for the worst mark in the CFL.

Speaking of the Bombers, they also led the CFL with 14 Unders, while the Riders hit the Over 10 times.

Saskatchewan Roughriders

Saskatchewan has to be a little nervous as they have lost eight straight games in Manitoba. Still, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the Riders pull off an upset. Trevor Harris is an elite option at quarterback, ranking third in the regular season in average passing yards per game (272.0) while throwing 20 TDs in just 12 games. Saskatchewan also boasts the stellar running back duo of A.J. Oulette and Ryquell Armstead, who combined for 94 rushing yards and two TDs last week against Ottawa.

And don’t sleep on the Riders’ defence. Saskatchewan led the CFL in forced turnovers (49), forced fumbles (17) and fumbles recovered (14). They also ranked second in interceptions (24) and tackles for loss (37). Rolan Milligan led the league in both interceptions (eight) and defensive takeaways (eight).

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Winnipeg had one of the best offences in the CFL this season, led by Zach Collaros and Brady Oliveira. Collaros finished second in total passing yards (4,336), but his 17-15 TD-INT ratio is a little concerning. A lot of that comes down to early-season struggles in which he threw 12 interceptions in 10 games compared to three in the final seven. Oliveira led the league in rushing yards (1,353) and he topped 100-yards in a game six times, although he didn’t hit the 50-yard mark in any of the three games against Saskatchewan this season.

The Bombers also boasted one of the top defensive units during the regular season. They led the league in total yards allowed (339.1), passing yards allowed (234.8) and points allowed (20.3) per game. Winnipeg’s main defensive weakness has been defending the run, but they still have an average rush defence, statistically.
