Elks vs. Alouettes Prediction: CFL Week 10 Point Spread, Odds
Montreal and Edmonton will both look to return to the win column when they meet in la belle province on Friday night.
The Als fell short, 34-6, in a massively disappointing measuring stick game against Saskatchewan last week, but still hold on to second in the East Division.
It’s a different story for the Elks, who dropped a third straight game, 28-24 against Hamilton, and continue to sport the league’s worst record with just one win this season.
Montreal is a 2.5-point favourite to win on the CFL odds, with the total pegged at 50.5.
CFL Odds and Betting

This wraps up the regular season series following the Alouettes’ 38-28 Week 3 win in Edmonton. That extended Montreal’s win streak in head-to-head action to five games.
Montreal has actually been a better road team this season as they are 3-1 straight up on the road compared to 2-2 SU at Molson Stadium. Fortunately for the Als, they’re up against an Elks team that is winless in three road dates in 2025.
While Montreal is 4-4 against the spread this season and Edmonton is 3-4 ATS, you might want to lean Elks in this one as they have covered in eight of their last nine games against the Alouettes.
If you’re looking for a longterm play, Montreal has the third-shortest odds to win the Grey Cup at +375 on the CFL futures board. However, if you believe in miracles, Edmonton has the longest Grey Cup odds by a mile at +10,000.
Edmonton Elks
Even the weather was against the Elks last week as they dropped to a league-worst 1-6 in a game that was delayed more than an hour because of lightning strikes. On the plus side, former Montreal quarterback Cody Fajardo has been a bit of an improvement starting in place of Tre Ford over the last two games. In that span, Ford has completed 79 per cent of his pass attempts for 603 total yards with three TDs and one interception.
A big issue for the Elks regardless of who is starting at quarterback is the offensive line. Edmonton is allowing the second-most sacks in the CFL, which is concerning as they’ll be facing a Montreal defence that ranks third in sacks this season. Of particular concern is Alouettes defensive tackle Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund, who is tied for the second-most sacks in the league with four, one of which came against Edmonton in Week 3.
Montreal Alouettes
Last week’s game against the Riders was billed as a potential Grey Cup preview, which has to add to the disappointment Montreal felt about the blowout loss. The Als’ offence was held to just 169 yards and gave up three forced turnovers. Playing in place of the injured Davis Alexander, backup QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson managed just 126 passing yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Montreal is now 1-3 without Alexander, who will also be out this week.
Generating offence has been a major concern for the Alouettes. The team has only hit the 30-point mark twice this season, which hasn’t been helped by Bethel-Thompson throwing four interceptions in four starts. While Montreal should be deep enough to beat a bad Elks squad, this could be a close, low scoring game.
