Vancouver comes in with 46 points, while St. Louis is second-to-last in the West with 21 points.

This marks the second head-to-head matchup of the season between these two teams. They previously faced each other on April 19 in St. Louis, where an unexciting scoreless draw was the result.

Vancouver is a -175 favourite to win on the MLS odds, while St. Louis is a +380 underdog and a draw is listed at +340.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. St. Louis City Betting Trends

With Vancouver way ahead in the MLS standings and also owning home-field advantage, it’s no surprise to see this club favoured in a significant way on the three-way money line. The Whitecaps are priced at -175, while the Dynamo are +380 underdogs, and a draw checks in at +340. The game total is 3.5, with a +115 payout if the Over cashes and the Under juiced to -160.

A 3.5 number is quite high for almost any matchup, and this one is no exception. Vancouver’s last eight games have all finished with three goals or fewer. Although St. Louis is more accustomed to playing high-scoring affairs, three of its last five contests have produced no more than three goals.

St. Louis City

St. Louis has taken points in just 11 of 26 outings during the 2025 campaign (five wins and six draws). However, it has picked up two victories in its past five games.

What’s concerning for the visitors is that they are borderline hopeless on the road. Sixteen of their 21 points have come in St. Louis; only five have come away from home. They have a dismal one win and two draws in 13 road games.

On Tuesday, St. Louis announced the transfer of forward Xande Silva to Israeli Premier League team Hapoel Tel Aviv FC. Silva joined St. Louis from Atlanta earlier this year and made 13 appearances across all competitions.

Vancouver Whitecaps

Müller Mania in Vancouver began last week. German legend Thomas Müller made his MLS debut against Houston, entering in the 60th minute. The 2014 World Cup champion made an immediate impact – almost – with a strike into the back of the net just five minutes after getting on the field. However, the goal was reversed due to an offside call.

The Whitecaps settled for a 1-1 draw in that contest but arguably should have taken a full three points. Brian White scored his 13th goal of the season from the penalty stripe in the sixth minute, long before the Dynamo came up with a stoppage-time equalizer.

Müller’s presence provides some much-needed scoring power alongside White. Nobody else on the roster has more than five goals.

MLS Prediction: Who Will Win Vancouver Whitecaps vs. St. Louis City?

Vancouver has cooled off a bit in recent weeks, and St. Louis is starting to play decent soccer. Still, the Whitecaps are by far the more talented team, and they also have the benefit of playing in the friendly confines of BC Place Stadium. As such, the ‘Caps have every reason to take care of business on Saturday.

Unlike in the first head-to-head meeting many months ago, goals can be expected. At the same time, Vancouver should be able to control the pace of play at home, and its style is more defensive compared to St. Louis. The scoreboard operator probably won’t have a ton of work to do. Don’t be surprised if the Whitecaps come away with a 2-1 victory.
