1. LSU (4-0, 1-0 SEC, 3-1 ATS)
Three wins outside of Baton Rouge against ranked opponents removes all doubt. Right now the Tigers are the best team in the nation.

2. Oklahoma (3-0, 1-0 Big 12, 2-1 ATS)
After an early scare, the Sooners took care of business against Missouri. Bigger tests lie ahead but not this weekend.

4. Oklahoma State (4-0, 1-0 Big 12, 3-1 ATS)

Next game: October 8 vs Kansas.
5. Boise State (3-0, 2-1 ATS)
The Broncos have revenge in mind this weekend as they welcome Nevada to the Smurf Turf.

The last of the cupcakes was disposed with in typical style, take a look at the ease with which Wisconsin beat South Dakota. It could be a sign of things to come for Nebraska.

8. South Carolina (4-0, 2-0 SEC, 2-2)
If it’s possible for a clash with the defending SEC and BCS champions to be a trap game, then believe me the Gamecocks are looking at a trap game this Saturday.
Last week: W 21-3 vs. Vanderbilt.
Next game: Saturday vs. Auburn.
9. Clemson (4-0, 1-0 ACC, 3-1 ATS)

I wasn’t sure quite how far to bump the Aggies down. Giving up a 17 point lead at home is inexcusable, against a ranked opponent or not. A loss against Arkansas Saturday would guarantee an extended exit from these rankings.
