The Warrior League: WSOP Qualifiers Gone Berserk
If you’re serious about qualifying for the WSOP this year and are looking for more than just your standard prize package, Sports Interaction has a tournament series with your name on it. The 2010 MTT Warrior League runs every Sunday and Tuesday in May starting on the 2nd and ending on the 30th with the WSOP Warrior Grand Finale tournament.
As WSOP online qualifiers go, the prizing for the Warrior League is pretty savage. The top 10 players on the leaderboard will all receive WSOP packages of various sizes while those in places 11-20 will enjoy 10 mega satellite tokens valued at $535 each, spots 21-30 will get Super Satellite tokens valued at $320 each and 31-100 will get a shot a freeroll with 3 more WSOP prize packages up for grabs for a total value of $26,000.
But a warrior’s heart is never concerned with anything other than total victory, which is why the top finishers in the Warrior League tournament series will find new meaning for the phrase, “To the victor go the spoils.”
First place will take home The Warrior Prize Package valued at $25,000. As befitting a mighty warrior, this package sees the winner entered into events #56 and #57 ($2,500 NL Holdem and the $10,000 Main Event), put up at the Wynn for 13 nights, and given $7,000 in spending cash.
Second place will enjoy a $20,000 WSOP prize package that includes 17 nights in Las Vegas for three events (#49, #56 and #57) and $3,600 in spending money.
You can check out the list of Warrior League WSOP packages for the complete breakdown of Sports Interaction’s over $150,000 in prizes.
The Warrior League has just a single entry fee of $300 + $20 and that gives players entry into all nine of the tournaments. There are also Sit-n-Go satellites that can get you entry into the Warrior League on the cheap. Check the Sports Interaction poker tournament lobby for these qualifiers which are running all through April.
Once you register for the Warrior League you’ll be given entry to all of the tournaments in the series. While all the tournaments are No Limit Holdem, they vary in structure and include standard freezeouts, turbo freezeouts, 6 max and deep stack tourneys.
You will acquire point on the leaderboard based on your performance in the tournaments leading up to the WSOP Warrior Grand Final. The top 200 players at the end will compete in the Final for their share of the spoils.
So register for the Warrior League or start trying to satellite your way in today. And remember what Conan said when he was asked what is best in life: “To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the donkeys.”
