2013 Preakness Stakes Winner is Oxbow
The middle jewel of the Triple Crown was run today and Oxbow took first place in an upset. In Baltimore, Maryland, at Pimlico racetrack, the 138th running of the Preakness Stakes attracted a huge crowd of spectators.
The top three finishers for the 2013 Preakness Stakes are: Oxbow, ItsMyLuckyDay and My Lute.
Kentucky Derby winner Orb was trying to earn his second jewel, attempting to continue his quest to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978. Sadly, he was stuck in the middle and just couldn’t get out. But it was 15/1 longshot, Oxbow who took the lead at the beginning and sustained throughout the race.
