2025 TNF Same-Game Parlay: Vikings at Chargers
The NFL kicks off Week 8 in the City of Angels with the Chargers hosting the Vikings.
In this week’s Thursday Night Football parlay I’m banking on Justin Herbert leading the Chargers to a win over Minnesota.
You can take a look at our full breakdown and score prediction here.
Here’s what I have for a three-leg parlay priced at +450:
- Chargers moneyline (-185)
- Justin Herbert Over 260.5 passing yards (-115)
- Jordan Mason anytime TD (+115)

Chargers moneyline
The 4-3 Chargers are playing desperate football right now as they chase the 5-2 Broncos and look to hold off the 4-3 Chiefs in the race for the AFC West. That desperation often brings out the best in teams, especially teams with a coach as respected as John Harbaugh.
I like L.A. to roll against a Minnesota team relying on Carson Wentz at quarterback. Wentz is coming off his worst game of the season, throwing no TDs, one interception and finishing with a 64.9 QBR.
The Chargers’ defence has struggled at times this year, but they’ve also shown they can pick off bad quarterbacks when they had three interceptions against Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins two weeks ago.
L.A. will do enough to win on a short week at home, I’m just not comfortable taking them on a spread that is more than a field goal.
Justin Herbert Over 260.5 passing yards
While Justin Herbert had two interceptions in last week’s beatdown loss against the Colts, it’s hard to blame him for the result. Herbert threw for 420 yards and three TDs on 55 pass attempts, the fourth time this season he’s surpassed 260 passing yards in a game.
Last week’s result shows exactly what you get with Herbert. He has a cannon of an arm and he’ll sling the ball all over the field. It might lead to picks, but it will also lead to Herbert racking up a lot of passing yards.
Jordan Mason anytime TD
With Wentz starting at quarterback, I’m banking on Minnesota running the ball, so give me a Jordan Mason anytime TD. Mason has four TDs over his last four games and he’s averaging three red zone touches per game over the last four weeks.
Mason is basically the only healthy running back the Vikings have at the moment and I’m expecting the team to utilize him in the red zone.
