There’s not much riding on this game as both teams are going to miss the playoffs. However, both have a shot at the number one pick in this year’s draft. Entering this game, the Senators have picked up points in three straight games including two wins. Seattle, on the other, started their three-game homestand with a win against New Jersey.

This is a pick’em type game as the Kraken are slight favourites at -120 to win on the NHL Odds with a total of 6 goals.

Senators vs. Kraken NHL Betting Odds

The Senators and Bruins are meeting for the second and final time this season. Ottawa took the only meeting back in March winning by a score of 4-3 in overtime. As the Senators head into Seattle, they have been a much better road team with a record of 4-1 in April. Over the Senators last six games against teams with losing records they have a record of 5-1. That does not bold well for the Seattle Kraken.

It’s not all bad for the Kraken. Seattle over its last four games against teams with sub .400 winning percentage, they have a 4-0 record.

Ottawa Senators

It has not been the season the Senators expected it to be. Following a three-game losing streak, the Senators have bounced back with two wins in a row. Even with recent success, the Senators are still at the bottom of the league for both major categories. Ottawa is ranked 26th in offence averaging 2.71 goals per game and 23rd in defence giving up 3.23 goals per game.

The only bright spots have been the play of Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris, and Tim Stutzle. Tkachuk leads the team with 59 points with Stutzle putting up career numbers with 52 points in just his second season with the team. Josh Norris is also having a career year leading the team with 33 goals. Like always the Senators are not out of any game when Anton Forsberg is between the pipes.

Seattle Kraken

The Seattle Kraken have not been good this season. They are a typical expansion team and if they went back and did the expansion draft they would have picked a different team. Offensively, the Kraken are 28th in the league averaging 2.57 goals per game. That’s the bottom five in the NHL. Defensively it is not much better. The Kraken are 24th in the league giving up 3.47 goals per game. That is not good.

Jared McCann leads all players with 43 points including 25 goals. Yanni Gourde is right behind him with 43 points and Jordan Eberle is right behind him with 40 points. Each has a chance to break the 20-goal plateau this season. Goaltending has been a major weakness for the Kraken this season.
