It’s the fourth of seven straight road games for the Jets and so far, they are playing to a 4-1 trend. To specify, each of Winnipeg’s first three outings on this trip have finished in 4-1 scores albeit twice in their favour and once not.

The 11-8-3 Kings are looking to break out of an up and down trend. L.A.’s longest win streak this season is just two games and they’ve split their past four games. And it’s a bit of the same old with the Kings — low-event, low-scoring hockey games. With 2.95 goals per game the Kings rank 17th in the league, and 12th in goals against with 2.86. But L.A. is coming off a 7-2 beating at San Jose on Monday, which has now pushed the Kings into the West’s top Wild-Card spot.

Puck drop at Crypto.com Arena between the Jets and Kings goes at 10 p.m. EST, with Winnipeg a slight -120 moneyline favourite on the road and the over-under at 5.5 on the NHL odds.

Jets vs. Kings NHL Betting Odds

The Winnipeg Jets are on an eight-game win streak against the Pacific Division, with four of those eight wins coming this season. In all four wins, the Jets have scored a minimum of four goals and have averaged 5.75 goals per contest.

That heater is going to get put to the test against the Kings though. In 11 of the last 16 Winnipeg–L.A. meetings, the total has finished under. And six of the last eight played in L.A. have gone under too.

Five straight Jets road games have finished under the total — remember the 4-1 streak the Jets are on. It would be quite ironic if four straight Jets games finished 4-1 but it could be worth an exact score play here.

Winnipeg Jets

The old winning ways crept in on Monday when Winnipeg went into Minnesota, got outshot 44-32, but won 4-1 because they have Connor Hellebuyck in net. Hellebuyck’s season-high 43 saves against Minnesota just increased his odds as the favourite to win the Vezina Trophy. The help on offence came outside Winnipeg’s top six, as Alex Iaffalo scored twice in the win and Adam Lowry and Nino Niederreiter each chipped in with goals.

Lowry and Niederreiter both broke 15 points on the season, joining seven other Jets to do so 22 games into their season. A key factor is health — Winnipeg’s top 13 scorers have all suited up in every single game in 2024 — and if the injury bug stays away, the Jets can win against anybody.

Los Angeles Kings

The Kings subpar goaltending cracked the last time they took the ice as the they allowed just 21 shots on Monday but fell 7-2. David Rittich’s started the majority of L.A.’s games this season and is on track to get a new career high in games (previously 48 in 2019–20), but the problem is Rittich has an .883 save percentage. And an even bigger problem is the 32-year-old has a career .905 save percentage. Darcy Kuemper’s been better in his 10 outings with the Kings this year, but still at a .903 save percentage himself.

Leading scorer Anze Kopitar stayed hot in the loss Monday by tallying a goal and an assist. The 37-year-old has four multi-point outings in his last seven games, picking up the slack for some other struggling Kings on offence.
