Week 11 kicks off from Pittsburgh on Thursday night in what could be a playoff preview as the AFC South-leading Tennessee Titans visit the Steelers, who lead the AFC North.

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Not much to go on in terms of previous meetings because they haven’t played since 2014 when Tennessee’s most important player, quarterback Marcus Mariota, was still at Oregon and top running back DeMarco Murray was with the Dallas Cowboys. Most of the key offensive Steelers are still around from that game, a 27-24 Pittsburgh victory. Le’Veon Bell was a monster with 33 carries for 204 yards and a touchdown. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 207 yards and a score to Antonio Brown with 9:01 left for the winning points.

The Steelers are 7-3 SU & 5-5 ATS in their past 10 at home vs. AFC South teams. They have covered seven of their past 10 overall as a home favourite. The Titans are 3-7 SU & ATS in their past 10 as a road underdog.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans (6-3 SU, 3-5-1 ATS) are in good shape to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008 as they are tied with Jacksonville atop the AFC South. Those two teams finish the season against one another in Nashville. Tennessee won a fourth straight game Sunday, 24-20 over Cincinnati – the past three wins have been by four points or fewer. It’s the team’s longest winning streak since 2009. Murray scored the winning touchdown against the Bengals on a 7-yard pass from Mariota.

The Titans completely controlled the ball in that one, holding possession for more than 40 minutes. They rushed for 180 yards and two scores. Murray had three touchdowns total. One negative was that Ryan Succop missed a 48-yard field goal attempt to end his NFL record streak of 56 consecutive field goals made from inside 50 yards.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers (7-2 SU, 5-4 ATS) are going to repeat in the AFC South barring major injuries considering they have a three-game lead. If the playoffs started today, they would be the top seed in the conference. A Week 15 home game vs. New England could well determine the AFC’s top seed. The schedule is friendly the rest of the way for the Steelers with just two road games. Pittsburgh won a fourth consecutive game Sunday as well, 20-17 at Indianapolis (but failing to cover as a double-digit favourite).

Roethlisberger hit Brown on a 32-yard pass with 35 seconds left to set up Chris Boswell’s winning 33-yard field goal as time expired. The Steelers really didn’t play very well coming out of their bye, trailing 17-3 at one point. Bell had 80 yards on 26 carries. Big Ben threw for 236 yards and two scores. Pittsburgh lost starting cornerback Joe Haden to a broken left fibula.
