Sports Interaction is offering hundreds of player props for Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2 in Miami between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. Here’s a look at a few and some picks.

Bet Who Will Win Super Bowl MVP

Can’t start any player props story without the most popular one: Super Bowl MVP. Picking an MVP in an NBA or NHL All-Star Game is tough because it in theory could go to any player. In the Super Bowl, it’s somewhat easy: Select the quarterback on the winning team.

The NFL is a quarterback league without question; they are the biggest stars and highest-paid players, and MVP voters generally take the easy way out. Quarterbacks have won Super Bowl MVP 29 times, which is well more than half of all Super Bowls. Just like quarterbacks almost always win the regular-season MVP – Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson will be the latest, made official on Super Bowl Weekend – they usually take this award too.

With the Kansas City Chiefs favoured to win the game, Patrick Mahomes is the Super Bowl MVP betting favourite at +100 followed by his San Francisco 49ers counterpart Jimmy Garoppolo at +200. There’s also an interesting prop on which position the winner plays and quarterback is the -290 favourite; wagering on that could be smart because bettors get both Mahomes and Jimmy G and don’t have to worry which team wins the game. Only once has a player from a losing team won MVP, and that it happens again is a yes-only +2800 long shot.

One very interesting option on that positional MVP prop is a tight end at +800. No tight end has ever won Super Bowl MVP; neither has a kicker (+5100). However, the two best receiving tight ends in the sport will be playing in Kansas City’s Travis Kelce, who led the Chiefs in receiving this season, and San Francisco’s George Kittle, who set the NFL single-season receiving yardage record for a tight end in 2018.

Kelce is +1500 to win on his own and Kittle is +1700. A receiver actually won last year, New England’s Julian Edelman, and that a wideout does so this year is +610. The Chiefs’ Tyreek Hill has the shortest odds at +1600. A defensive player winning is +400, which seems awfully low for how rare it happens. San Francisco rookie end Nick Bosa has the shortest odds at +2600.

Super Bowl Scoring Props

Who scores the game’s first touchdown? Kelce is a +625 favourite, followed by Chiefs running back Damien Williams (+680), Kittle (+695) and Niners tailback Raheem Mostert (+740). He had arguably the best playoff effort a tailback ever has in the NFC title game win over Green Bay with 220 yards rushing and four touchdowns.

With fellow Niners tailback Tevin Coleman dealing with a dislocated shoulder, Mostert could be a workhorse again. He is +445 to win MVP, but a running back hasn’t in more than 20 years.

Williams had just five rushing scores during the regular season, but he was injured/sharing time. He’s the clear-cut featured back now and has rushed for three TDs in thes-1 playoffs along with catching one. Williams is +2900 to win MVP.

Two fun props are first and last touchdown scorer by jersey number, with under 26.5 the -150 favourite in both. Williams wears 26. Mahomes 15. Hill 10. Wideout Sammy Watkins 14. On the Niners, Garoppolo wears 10. Receiver Emmanuel Sanders 12, fellow wideout Deebo Samuel 19 and Coleman 26.

Super Bowl Player Prop Predictions

I recommend a tight end as winning MVP position at +800 because of that value price, but then will hedge with Mahomes as the individual winner. Going over on the jersey number 26.5 on both because then you get both tight ends and basically every defensive player plus some other receivers. Mostert scores the first touchdown.
