Ravens vs. Panthers Point Spread: NFL Week 8 Odds, Prediction
Easily the best early matchup (on this side of the earth) this weekend will be held at Bank of America Stadium.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Ravens come into this game favoured by -2 coming off the narrowest of losses last week. Had Justin Tucker split the uprights on his extra point attempt, overtime would’ve been in the cards. However, it was neither his night nor the black birds and they now find themselves in major need of a W to keep up in the AFC North.
Carolina, on the other hand, comes into this one riding a one-game win streak after coming back from 17-down in the fourth to beat the Eagles in week seven. The Panthers need to keep that momentum alive to keep up with New Orleans who leads the NFC South at 5-1.
While our NFL Odds board has Carolina listed as underdogs, it is important to note that they are also 6-2 ATS through their last eight home games.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens currently rank fifth in the league in total offensive yards and they have a chance to capitalize on a smaller Carolina secondary. If they can keep the ball in the air, they have a great shot. Carolina is 17th in the league in passing yards allowed and 9th against the rush.
Carolina Panthers
If Cam can put together four quarters (or at least three), Carolina has a solid chance at home. He’s had to try and paste together late comebacks in every October game thus far (2-1) and could use a good start for a change.
The Ravens surrendered 34 first half points in their lone two-losses this season. So, while the cats are taking on the best defence in football, some early scores could do them a world of good.
Also to note, Carolina currently ranks 18th while Baltimore sits 15th in total PPG. In other words, you should keep an eye on that 43.5-point over/under as well.
