Two teams embroiled in heated division races will tangle in this week’s edition of Monday Night Football, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers entertain the Los Angeles Rams. The Bucs throttled host Carolina 46-23 last time out to remain a half-game back of New Orleans atop the NFC South division, and are modest favourites against a Rams team that rode strong defence to a 23-16 triumph over Seattle to settle into a three-way tie for top spot in the NFC West.

NFL Week 11 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Tampa Bay is a home fave as expected, though you might have expected this line to be a bit bigger given how the Buccaneers have fared against teams other than the Saints. But the Bucs haven’t looked good in conference games of late, going just 5-10 against the spread (ATS) in their last 15 games vs. NFC opponents. The Rams, meanwhile, have made the most of their meetings with the NFC South, having covered in four of their last five.

The Monday Night Football total is 48.5, with the Bucs having gone 6-4 O/U for the season and the Rams 2-7. That L.A. trend is even stronger since late-September, with the Rams having gone below the total in each of their past six games (and only one of those games going above 40 total points). Despite this, 84 percent of Sports Interaction bettors are siding with the O48.5, presumably in part because Tampa is 14-6 O/U in its last 20 games.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have been sensational defensively, allowing the second-fewest points per game in the NFL. The offence, on the other hand, remains a work in progress, ranking in the bottom half league-wide in scoring (24 ppg). And while Jared Goff has had a decent season so far, he’s going to need to be at his best Sunday; the Buccaneers have made life miserable for opposing run games, limiting opponents to just 76.6 yards per game (on a 3.3 YPC average).

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

He has spent much of the season being wrongly maligned (particularly among the fantasy football community) – but you can’t deny that Ronald Jones has been a pivotal part of the Buccaneers’ offensive success. He enters Week 11 ranked third in the NFL in rushing yards with 730, and has the second-best YPC average (5.1) of any running back in the top 10 in rushing. Jones is coming off a 192-yard, one-touchdown performance vs. the Panthers.
