Giants vs. Jets Point Spread: NFL Predictions, Week 10 Odds
It’s an all-New York match-up in week 10 of the season with the Jets hosting this game. The
storylines have been disappointing for the Jets and Giants as the two Gotham teams have
combined for just three wins in 17 games.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Jets won the last match-up (regular season) against the Giants back in December of 2015
(23-20). Previous to that game, the Giants took five of their last six games.
The over might be the play in this game. The Jets are 4-0 to the over in their last four games
following an ATS loss, while the Giants are 6-0 to the over in their last six road games.
Of note these two teams met in the preseason, as they always do with the Giants knocking off
the Jets 31-22.
New York Giants
The Giants have lost five games in a row, and are 2-7 on the season. Last week they fell to the
Cowboys on Monday night football 37-18. The Giants played well in the first half, only trailing
the Cowboys 13-12 at the half.
Quarterback Daniel Jones is still learning the ropes but has at least one touchdown pass in
each of his seven starts this rookie season (11 touchdowns on the year). He’s averaging 209.5
yards per game, but protection has been an issue. In first seven starts, he’s been sacked 26
times (an average of 3.7 per game). He’s also been intercepted eight times and has committed
nine fumbles.
Running back Saquon Barkley had a rough game on Monday night. In 14 carries versus the
Cowboys, Barkley produced just 28 yards, tying a career-low, for an average of two yards per
handoff.
Of note, defensive lineman Leonard Williams gets his first chance to play his former team this
Sunday. Williams was dealt to the Giants just prior to the trade deadline. He was a former first
round pick of the Jets back in 2015.
New York Jets
At 1-7, the Jets are coming off one of their worst loss in team history. In week nine, they
travelled to Miami as 3-point favourites and lost to the winless Dolphins 26-18.
It’s an ugly state of affairs for this franchise and things did not get any better in the dressing
room after a number of players voiced their displeasure about rumours involving possible
trades.
The Jets are the only team in the NFL with fewer than 10 offensive touchdowns on the season.
They are ranked dead last in total offense. Sam Darnold has struggled this season, first battling
an illness and now on the field. In his last four games he’s thrown nine interceptions and has
been sacked 14 times.
Running back Le’Veon Bell underwent an MRI exam on his knee on Monday. This status for this
game is still unknown at this time.
