Dolphins vs. Jaguars Point Spread: NFL Week 6 Odds, Prediction

The 0-5 Jags have been a mess under first-year head coach Urban Meyer, but they are only modest neutral-site underdogs against a Dolphins team that has dropped four in a row after winning their season opener.

Miami is a 3.5-point favourite to win on the NFL odds, with a total of 47.0.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Miami hasn’t exactly earned much faith from bettors, with 55 per cent of the Sports Interaction pool siding with the underdog Jaguars. The Dolphins have dropped two straight games as a favourite and are 0-3 ATS in their last three in that situation, allowing an average of 36 points in those contests. And yet, that still pales to what bettors are getting from the Jags, who are a dismal 0-6 SU and ATS in their past six as underdogs of between one and four points.

The bet distribution on the total side is identical to that on the ATS ledger, with 55 per cent of SIA bettors leaning toward the U47 at -110. The Jaguars are 1-4 O/U in their past five games when receiving points, and the lone Over result (last week’s 37-19 loss to Tennessee) was aided by a first-half Titans defensive TD. Miami, on the other hand, has converted three straight Overs as a favourite (mostly due to the porous defensive efforts referenced above).

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins’ stalwart defensive effort in a 17-16 win over New England in Week 1 is now a distant memory. Miami has surrendered an alarming 34.5 points per game over the course of its current four-game skid, averaging just 15.5 points on offence over that stretch. Even if the defence corrects course, Miami could be in tough if it continues to struggle both on the ground (70.4 yards per game, last in the NFL) and through the air (191.4 yards, 30th).

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars fans and bettors were treated to a glimpse of Trevor Lawrence’s immense potential in Week 1, as he racked up 332 passing yards and three TDs in a 37-21 loss to Houston. But things haven’t gone nearly as smoothly since, for the first overall pick in 2021, who has just three passing scores in the past four games while failing to crack the 275-yard mark in any of them. He has, however, helped himself with rushing TDs in two straight games.
