Phillip Rivers and company will try to make it a fifth-straight win when they head west to play the Seahawks (4-3).

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Chargers record might look more impressive than it actually is. Yes, they’ve beaten 5 teams in their 5-2 start, but take a look at who those wins were against: the Bills (2-5), the 49ers (1-7), the Raiders (1-6), the Browns (2-5-1) and the Titans (3-4).

The last time these clubs met in 2014, it was a convincing 30-21 win by the Chargers. The Bolts have posted more than 20 points in their last 5 games against the Seahawks.

Los Angeles Chargers

Philip Rivers is having a year. The fact that it’s his 15th year makes it even more impressive. The 37-year-old has had one his best starts ever this season, completing 69.1 percent of his passes for 2,008 yards, 17 touchdowns and only three interceptions. That’s an impressive 117.8 passer rating. Tyrell Williams has been his favorite target lately, and he’s made his mark on the scoreboard with 20 catches for 428 yards and four touchdowns.

The Chargers’ star RB Melvin Gordon continues to shine as one of the elite running backs in the league right now. Gordon has carried 91 times for 468 yards and six touchdowns AND he’s made 30 catches for 279 yards and three touchdowns. Melvin Gordon will be a Hall of Famer just like his quarterback, there’s no question. Great news for Chargers fans – Joey Bosa is could return from the injury that has kept him out all season.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are at 4-3 and they’ve won four of their last five games. Russell Wilson is coming off a pretty remarkable feat where he posted the first perfect 158.3 passer rating in Seattle Seahawks history in a win over the Lions, throwing for 248 yards and three touchdowns. Not too shabby. Wilson has a 65.9 completion rating for 1,556 yards and 16 touchdowns. His favorite receiver at the moment is Tyler Lockett, who has 25 catches for six touchdowns.

Seattle was recently able to bolster their roster with the return of Doug Baldwin. On the ground, the Hawks’ Chris Carson has carried 103 times for two touchdowns and Mike Davis has carried 52 times for three touchdowns. The Seahawks defense has looked better lately, but this game against a high-scoring Charger squad will be a challenge.
