The Jacksonville Jaguars face a familiar foe this weekend and hope to strike lightning against an LA team that’s beaten them in each of the last four seasons.

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Jaguars opened as 4.5-point home favourites with the total set at 41.5 on the Sports Interaction NFL odds board. Jacksonville is coming off a 23-7 win over Cincinnati and is allowing just 3.5 points per game over its last two contests. The win improved the Jags’ record to 5-3 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS).

Los Angeles is coming off its bye week after falling 21-13 at New England in Week 8. The Bolts are 3-5 SU and 3-4-1 ATS on the year with the under cashing in five of their eight games.

This is the fifth meeting between the two sides since 2013 and the Chargers won and covered in each of the previous four matchups including last year when they curb stomped the Cats 38-14 at San Diego.

The Deshaun Watson injury in Houston appears to have limited the AFC South contenders list to the Jaguars and Tennessee Titans. The Jags and Titans are -110 co-faves on the Sports Interaction NFL futures board to win the division.

Los Angeles Chargers

L.A. defensive coordinator Gus Bradley should be able to advise the players and coaching staff on a good place to eat after the game on Sunday. Bradley was the head coach of the Jaguars from 2013 until the end of last season when he was let go by the team.

The Chargers will hope Bradley’s familiarity with the Jags’ roster will help in their game plan to slow the home team down.

Jacksonville Jaguars

It was a strange weekend for the Jaguars despite the victory over the Bengals. The team deactivated star rookie running back Leonard Fournette on Sunday for no-showing or being late for more than one meeting.

Then during the game, future Pro Bowl corner back Jalen Ramsey was involved in an early game dustup with Bengals receiver A.J. Green. Ramsey and Green were both tossed from the contest – meaning the Jags won without arguably their best offensive and defensive players on the field for most of the game.
