The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a 27-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons to get back on track and improve to 6-2. Now they need to do something they haven’t need to do in a while: re-establish their dominance at CenturyLink Field. The Seahawks are just 2-2 at home heading into a Week 9 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon. The good news is that turnover-prone Jameis Winston and company are coming to town, so Seattle should be in for a win this week.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Buccaneers have earned each of their two wins away from home this season against the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams. Tampa Bay has gone 7-1 in its last eight trips to the Pacific Time Zone. The Buccaneers are also 4-0 ATS in their last four games against the Seahawks.

Meanwhile, Seattle’s dominant home-field advantage has somewhat dissipated of late with a 0-5 record against the spread in its last five games at CenturyLink Field. The Seahawks are just 3-5 against the spread overall this season. The over-under is an even 4-4 split over the course of Seattle’s first eight games.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers have already recorded a pair of road wins over decent opponents in the Panthers and the Rams this season. While they might not go in CenturyLink Field and beat the Seahawks straight up, they should at the very least be able to keep this game close if Jameis Winston can avoid the turnovers. So far this season, he’s averaging 2.1 turnovers per game (12 interceptions and two fumbles this season).

For all of the improvements the Buccaneers made heading into this year, they still aren’t good enough to overcome Winston’s mistakes. The Seahawks are fifth in the NFL in takeaways.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have been one of the most dominant home teams in the NFL over the last decade. However, with home losses to the Saints and Ravens already, that home-field advantage has somewhat disappeared. The good news is that Seattle should be able to get back on track at CenturyLink Field this Sunday.

Russell Wilson is playing at an MVP level with 17 touchdowns versus just one pick on the year. The Seahawks have scored 27 points or more in all but one of their six wins this season. Wilson and company might need to hit that mark again on Sunday in order to get the job done.

Even with the offense clicking, though, Seattle has just one win by more than seven points this season. That’s a bit of a concern as they’re laying a touchdown here.
