The Washington Wizards want what the Toronto Raptors currently have: A spot in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament. The teams meet at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday evening with the NBA odds depending on a few injuries.

Wizards vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

Not all that long ago, Washington and Toronto were both jockeying for Eastern Conference play-in tournament positioning, but the Wizards are fading fast and not likely to make it. The Raptors are far from home-free but should get in.

Sunday is the third and final regular-season meeting between the teams. Very unusual scheduling as they didn’t play until March 2 in DC and then played again there two nights later – splitting those. Fred VanVleet averaged 19.5 points and 8.5 assists in the two, Jakob Poeltl 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds, and Pascal Siakam just 14.0 points but 7.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists. Kristaps Porzingis averaged 23.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in those for Washington, and Kyle Kuzma 23.0 points and 5.5 rebounds.

Toronto leads the all-time series 60-40 and is 35-16 as the home team.

Washington Wizards

Washington ended a four-game losing streak on Friday with a 136-124 victory, but it almost doesn’t count because it came against a San Antonio Spurs team that is playing G-League lineups at this point. The Wizards were without two starters and 20-point scorers in Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma, and they are day-to-day. Corey Kispert had 26 points and five rebounds in Beal’s spot, while Deni Avdija started for Kuzma and had 21 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Avdija has been great the past three games if thinking about player props options here if Kuzma sits again. Washington made 15 of 30 attempts from deep one game after setting season lows for number and per centage of made three-pointers on Wednesday in a loss to Denver.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto played Friday with Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent Jr. and Precious Achiuwa, but they weren’t needed against a bad Pistons team in a 118-97 victory – all three are questionable Sunday. Pascal Siakam had 32 points, nine assists and five rebounds vs. the Pistons but for some reason played 38 minutes when no one else got even 30. It marked the fifth time that the Raptors swept the Pistons in a season series since the two franchises began their rivalry in 1995-1996. Toronto is 7-0 this season when holding teams under 100 points. Will Barton started for Barnes and had nine points in 24 minutes. Barton played in 40 games for Washington this season before being waived on Feb. 21.
