At 40-13, the Warriors still remain 2.5 games back of first in the West, which is much better than the 17-35 Thunder who are two games above last place.

Golden State’s been off the court since Thursday, last playing against Sacramento in a 126-114 dub. The team’s last loss came on January 20 in overtime versus Indiana. The Thunder had a three-game win streak snapped on Saturday, coming at the hands of Sacramento.

Tip-off at Paycom Center is slated for 8 p.m. EST with the Warriors 11.5-point favourites to win on the road and the total at 212.5 on the NBA odds.

Along with an eight-game win streak overall, the Warriors have enjoyed their recent meetings versus Oklahoma City. Golden State’s 5-0 in their last five games versus Oklahoma City and 6-1 against the spread in their last seven. When it comes to the over-under, another trend is prominent in recent head-to-heads. The under is on a 13-3 run in the last 16 Warriors–Thunder bouts, and six of the last eight played at Paycom Center.

Monday’s the third of three regular season games between these clubs. Golden State took the first two during the last week of October, winning by eight on the road and 21 at home.

Golden State Warriors

The eight-game win streak has been a full team effort, with five different players leading the Warriors in scoring during the victories. Klay Thompson became the latest, with a team-high 23 on eight of 11 shooting against the Kings Thursday. The Warriors shot the ball superb as a team against Sacramento, going 56 per cent from the field and 20 of 42 from deep.

Prior to Thompson’s 23, it was Jordan Poole scoring a game-high 31 at San Antonio last Tuesday, and Steph Curry going off for 30 a week ago at Houston. Andrew Wiggins and Jonathan Kuminga have also led the club in scoring in one of their past eight appearances.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Unlike Golden State, scoring is not Oklahoma City’s strong suit. The Thunder are the worst shooting team in the NBA (41.8 per cent from the field) and also the league’s lowest-scoring team with 101 points a night. In their loss at the Kings Saturday, Oklahoma City converted on nine of 30 3-pointers and under 65 per cent of free throws. Josh Giddey led the Thunder with a season-high 24 points.

Both Lu Dort (bruised face) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (sprained ankle) missed the game. Dort is questionable versus the Warriors, and Gilgeous-Alexander is out and will miss his fifth game in a row.
