With scores at their lowest levels in years, it’s great for NBA fans and bettors to see a rare total in the 220s as the Golden State Warriors tangle with the host Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night. Brooklyn and Golden State are two of the hottest teams in the league at the moment, with the Nets having won eight of their last nine games and the Warriors sitting atop the Western Conference despite coming off a 106-102 defeat at Charlotte last time out.

Warriors vs. Nets NBA Betting Odds

The Nets have been an average team ATS (7-7) on the season, but they’re still slight favourites Tuesday against a Warriors team that has gone an impressive 8-4-1 against the spread. The Nets are 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS at home on the season, but come in with an incredible 14-1 ATS mark in their previous 15 games vs. Pacific Division opponents. But that hasn’t resonated with Sports Interaction bettors, with 55 percent taking the visitors.

The total for this one is sitting right on 220 – and the public is expecting fireworks, with 87 percent of Sports Interaction participants siding with the Over at -110. But both teams have seen higher-than-average totals for the majority of the season, and have come up well short: the Warriors are just 4-9 O/U, while the Nets come in at 5-9. The teams have also come in lower than the total in four of their previous five meetings at Barclays Center.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors would feel a whole lot better about their chances if they were closer to full strength – but that won’t be the case Tuesday night. Draymond Green will miss this pivotal matchup with a hamstring injury; the talented power forward is off to a typically strong start, leading the team in rebounding (8.1) and assists (7.1) while shooting nearly 54 percent from 3-point range. Look for the Warriors to lean more on Steph Curry as a facilitator Tuesday.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets will be short in the frontcourt themselves – and that should lead to some intriguing showdowns in the paint. Brooklyn will be without Paul Millsap and Nic Claxton, both of whom are out indefinitely.

Expect a steady diet of Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge playing alongside Kevin Durant, who has embraced his power forward responsibilities en route to an 8.4 rebounds-per-game average that is currently the highest of his career.
