A three-game losing streak has the Golden State Warriors scratching their heads. Star forward Draymond Green said that the team was “getting punked” after suffering an embarrassing loss to the awful Orlando Magic, a team with one of the worst records in the league.

As for the Miami Heat, they saw a two-game winning streak get snapped by a Philadelphia 76ers team without Joel Embiid and James Harden. Both teams are desperately looking to put together a better showing in this matchup.

Warriors vs. Heat NBA Betting Odds

Golden State has lost their last four games against the spread when going up against teams with a winning percentage above .600. They are also 3-9 ATS in their past 12 road dates against teams with a winning home record.

For an odd stat of the day, Wednesdays have been kind of the Heat. They have covered seven of their last eight on the day. Unfortunately, they can’t say the same when getting listed as the favorite, failing to cover in their last four games when posted as the chalk.

Golden State Warriors

Overcoming injuries and adversity will be the key to victory for the Warriors. We haven’t gotten to see the trio of Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson share the court much this season, and we won’t get to see it here. Green and Thompson will play, but Curry is ruled out after suffering an ankle sprain a few days ago. Veteran forward Andre Iguodala remains out and so does James Wiseman. With Steph out of the lineup, somebody has to take over primary ball handling duties in the offense. Thompson is a phenomenal scorer but isn’t usually considered a primary playmaker. Jordan Poole seems to be the best option, averaging 17.3 points and 3.6 assists per game, but they like to get a boost from him off the bench.

The bottom line is that this team is short an MVP-caliber player and that’s not easy to overcome.

Miami Heat

Losing to a 76ers team without their best two players must not be sitting well with Miami. It was bizarre because this team is the top seed in the East and has been playing so well. Even with the loss, they have still won 15 of their last 20 games.

Jimmy Butler, Victor Oladipo, Tyler Herro and Caleb Martin were all tabbed with the questionable tag for this date with the Warriors, so you’ll have to keep an eye on the injury report. Gabe Vincent was ruled out as well. Miami will need all hands on deck to avoid slipping to a Curry-less Golden State team. Missing this many players is a recipe for disaster but expected many of them to play. After all, Butler did play and score 27 on Monday.

Luckily, the strongest part of the Heat’s roster is that they are very deep. Guys like Bam Adebayo, Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson are all very capable offensive weapons. There is a reason that this squad holds the top spot in the East. With home-court advantage, they’ll be expected to win and cover.
