Damian Lillard is still sidelined and that’s caused a lot of problems for the Portland Trail Blazers. They just choked away an 18-point lead to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, which marked their second straight loss and the sixth out of their last seven. They aren’t alone in that boat, though as the Los Angeles Lakers just blew a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit in their last game, falling to the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The loss was just their second out of their last seven games. Which of these teams will be able to rally back following a horrendous blown lead?

L.A. is a 5.5-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 224.5.

Trail Blazers vs. Lakers NBA Betting Odds

The Trail Blazers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 when going up against teams with a winning percentage below .400 on the year. However, Portland is gotten the over hit in their last four games coming off of an ATS loss.

Los Angeles is 0-6 ATS in their past six when going up against teams with a straight up winning record on the year. They are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, though. The Lakers have watched the under cash in four out of their past five games overall and seven out of their past eight meetings against the Trail Blazers.

Portland Trail Blazers

The most important part of the Trail Blazers team is still out of the lineup. Damian Lillard is the lifeblood of this group and yet he’s been out for the last few games. The early expectation is that he won’t be back around again until this upcoming Sunday’s matchup with the Pacers. Lillard missing this game leaves it in the hands of Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons.

The good news is that both are exceeding expectations. Simons averages 23.9 points while Grant is putting up 22.0 per game. It’ll be tough for the Blazers to deliver here as they’re sorely missing the 26 points per game that Lillard adds but they are going up against a weak defence. The Lakers rank 20th in the NBA in points per game allowed (114.5), so Portland might not face a ton of resistance tonight.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers have found a way to rise up from the bottom of the standings even though their offence is in the middle of the pack. This can be attributed to some players coming back from injuries and their three-point percentage finally rising. They’re still tied for the worst three-point shooting percentage in the NBA (32 per cent) but are doing better of late. In their last three games, they’re at 29.6 per cent, 51.5 per cent and 35.5 per cent.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook are all anticipated to play and that’s despite both James and Davis being listed as day-to-day with minor injuries. Davis, in particular, is somebody that needs to be out on the floor. In the past six games that he’s played, he’s scored at least 25 points while breaking the 30-point threshold a total of four times as well during that span. Not to mention that he’s recorded at least 13 rebounds per game as well.
